Thank you to every single person who already liked and commented on this animatic on TikTok! ❤️❤️❤️ Your love and support truly means the absolute WORLD to me, and I'm so grateful y'all enjoy my art 😘 I hold so much love for #chaostheory and #campcretaceous and admire all the hard work that went into creating both fantastic series. I wanted to make my own animatic of the moment the group photo was taken, so I spontaneously decided to whip this up over the course of a week, and here is the end result 🥰

Credits are in the video, but the art, script, and voices are all done by me. I tried to stay as true to the canon as possible, as well as sprinkle-in a few things I'd love to see more of in the actual show (#Kenlynn , #Yasammy , Darius/Kenji, etc.) I'm HOPING for some flashbacks in Chaos Theory season 4, but until then, I can keep myself occupied by pretending what I draw is real 😂😂😂

One of my biggest complaints about Chaos Theory season 4 (besides, you know, literally everything) was the way they wrote Yaz and Sammy’s relationship, and honestly the way they wrote it throughout CT in general. I personally believe their breakup didnt need to happen. Why did every single character suddenly forget how to communicate??? And the way Yaz, my absolute FAVORITE character in possibly all of fiction, called Sammy a COWARD?? Everyone was just so out of character just for season 4 to come around and act like the breakup never happened. Yaz (or Sammy) never explained their side, nor tried to understand the other and truly apologize. Instead, they held hands and kissed without so much as five sentences between them. Dont get me wrong, i LOVE a Yasammy kiss, but they deserved better, and they deserved MORE. To have your amazing queer couple break up then get back together without so much as growing and learning because/from of it? It all felt so… wrong and forced (which is a word I NEVER thought I’d use with Yasammy but here we are) 🤷‍♀️ Why waste time on queerbaiting Benji (yes, it WAS queerbaiting) when you could have written a beautiful arc for your ALREADY CANON LESBIAN ROMANCE??? 🙄

In addition, I decided to change the reason Sammy’s family wasn’t speaking to her, but GUESS WHAT?? According to a deleted scene that was supposed to be in SEASON 1… I WAS RIGHT (it’s bc she didn’t eat meat anymore). I hate how this plot line (and Sammy’s trauma in general), was sidelined, not to mention Yaz’ passion for art was completely erased. All this to say, I WANTED TO FIX THIS WITH MY REWRITE, and give my girls the justice (and conversations) they (and I) so rightfully deserved 🥰 Plus… CALLBACKS!!!!!! 🧡🧡🧡 #chaostheory #campcretaceous #jwcc by @crystalized_chips

CHAOS THEORY REWRITE ANIMATIC PART 9 IS FINALLY HERE!!! 🔥 It’s a race against the clock as Darius, Yaz, and Sammy unearth a shattering secret deep within Biosyn Valley. In an effort to find the run-away Ben (and Bumpy), they’ll discover that every island, every dinosaur, every DISASTER… may have been crafted with a single purpose…. and they’re right in the line of fire.

One of the biggest changes with this rewrite was to try and make Dodgson more of the “big bad,” the mastermind behind it all. I mean, it’s his fault the original park went down in the first place (that’s literally him talking with Dennis, no I don’t want to draw the movie characters haha 😆). So I thought… what if the Biosyn fire WASN’T an accident??

RUNNING FOR LOVE >>>

There’s a reason both “The Long Run” and “Reunion” are my two favorite episodes of Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory, and why Yaz and Kenji are my two favorite characters, AND why #YASAMMY and #KENLYNN are my two favorite ships. I could honestly talk for hours about these defining character moments, so @mwilt_art and I decided to draw them in our styles!

The way Yaz ran on an unhealed BROKEN ANKLE to save Sammy’s LIFE, after the last thing she said to her was “we’re not best friends, we never were.” The way Kenji ran after trying to k!ll himself SEVERAL TIMES that very same day to LOOK at the girl he loved who just came back from the dead, after the last thing he said to her was “I can’t be with you, if you’re not going to be with me.” Physically and mentally exhausted, they both RAN to prove to their loves that they really were “best friends,” that they really were “meant to be,” to make up for what they said with ACTIONS, not just words.

The way they both faced down their worst fears; Yaz’s PTSD with dinosaurs/the Scorpious, and Kenji’s abandonment issues from his father (who also left him on a plane), they ran despite that fear to do what was right, because the fear of losing the other was worst then their deepest trauma. It fueled them.

It’s moments like these that truly define characters for me, and I deeply appreciate the positive Asian representation for them both, not to mention LGBT representation. No matter how I feel about the show’s ending, I’ll always have these moments ❤️ #campcretaceous #chaostheory #jwcc by @crystalized_chips
