Christmas catch up…..
This past month flew by, filled with tree cutting, a birthday (we have a 15 year old now!), gingerbread house decorating, friends, Christmas performances, Bama coming to visit from Indiana, Santa coming the night of the 23rd and traveling to Hawaii on Christmas Day! We met up with family from South Korea, Arizona and Tennessee and are having a blast. Of course we made it to the North Shore for some Matsumoto’s and beach time. We explored the Polynesian Cultural Center yesterday and enjoyed the luau and the amazing night show. We are looking forward to celebrating the new year with family here in Hawaii and endless amounts of sun and sand! by @crystallongsmith

Day 5 (pt1): After that amazing show, we left Myvatn and headed to the coastal town of Husavik to go whale watching! This town was so quaint and picturesque (see 2nd photo). Day 4 (pt 1): Studlagil Canyon was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced! The formations were unreal. The guys had planned to cold plunge there and Ang and I were happy to stay dry and cheer them on! Of course I had to find a spot to do a headstand… taken in Studlagil Canyon by @crystallongsmith

Day 3 (pt 3): Night 2 of the Northern Lights in Iceland was pure magic. We stayed about 5 minutes outside of town where there was very little light pollution, in the cutest tiny home (you can see it in the first few pictures). They were so much brighter! It was so beautiful. taken in Iceland by @crystallongsmith

Day 3 (pt 2): Our next adventure took us to Mulagljufur Canyon. Big surprise….it was breathtaking! It even took mine, Angela, TJ and Steve’s shirts!!!! But seriously….what a view. Then we checked out Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon. We were going to go kayaking in that lagoon, but the wind had picked up too much and it was canceled due to dangerous conditions. So we headed to Hofn for the night and oh man….the Northern Lights there were going off….post is coming!!! taken in múlagljúfur by @crystallongsmith

Day 3 (Thurs 9/12): This glacier was breathtaking! Steve got to cold plunge next to icebergs in a glacial lake and I got to do some headstands…we were both so happy! It was freaking amazing! taken in Svínafellsjökull by @crystallongsmith

Day 2 (pt 4): Seriously one of the most magical, amazing, breathtaking experiences I’ve ever had was experiencing the Northern Lights. My dad and I shared a love of stars and constellations and I felt him near. I could almost hear him say ‘Kiki…look up’! It was such a beautiful experience ❤️ taken in Vik, South Iceland by @crystallongsmith

Day 2 (pt 3): After a full day of waterfalls, we arrived in Vik hungry and tired. We ate some amazing pizza at @blackcrustpizzeria and then headed to the closest beach to explore. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Iceland is amazingly beautiful! by @crystallongsmith
