Happy first preview to @wantedmusical 🎉

We are proud to say that WANTED had its world premiere at Signature Theatre in 2020, under its original title “GUN & POWDER”, which was developed as part of our SigWorks: Musical Theater Lab in 2017. Today, we’re taking a look back at our 2020 production featuring Solea Pfeiffer, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Awa Sal Secka, the late Marva Hicks and cast.

Last week, Engage gathered for our latest Menopause & Longevity Working Group on Capitol Hill. We received a wonderful visit from Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and her incredible staff, along with an inspiring conversation led by Engage Founder Rachel Pearson, Dr. Jill Liss and many other voices bringing their passion and expertise to the table. Then, together, we walked over to witness the first-ever congressional hearing on menopause, led by the Senate Special Committee on Aging.

Some things never change. 🥹 Growing up as a theater kid, I would have my friends over after school to learn choreography and we’d have the best time dressing up and dancing! 💃 Cut to being a busy Mom of three, living in the best neighborhood in northern VA surrounded by the most fun friends and neighbors. Thank you to @metropolitan_arts, @sarajhart1 for hosting, @danipyerflorals for teaching 😘 and @socialtidestudio for your work in putting this fun dance class on to the trending hit song by @saxboybilly18 and insanely fab choreo by @samallenswag_ 🥹🙌 🤩 by @crystalmosser

The 8th edition of *The Engage Reader* has arrived! ✨

This issue feels especially meaningful to me because I had the opportunity to reflect on *Duct Tape and White Lies* by Emily Lampkin.

One of the unexpected gifts of Engage has been the people it has introduced me to. Through Engage, I had the chance to meet Emily and spend time with her over lunch - hearing firsthand about her journey, her work, and the inspiration behind the book. It made reading it feel that much more personal.

Getting to turn that experience into a review for *The Engage Reader* was such a privilege, and I’d love for you to give it a read.

This week officially closes a twenty-year chapter of Army life for our family.

Two decades of service, sacrifice, resilience, friendships, moving trucks, missed holidays, proud moments, hard seasons, and a community that forever changed us.

Especially after Memorial Day weekend, I’ve found myself reflecting on the deeper meaning behind service and the extraordinary people and families who carry it.

Feeling grateful for the chapter, the people we met along the way, and all that comes next. 🇺🇸 @justin.nelson.anderson t by @crystalmosser

There is just something so special about moms. I love meeting my friends’ moms, hearing their stories, and seeing the love they’ve poured into the people around them.

Motherhood and the community of moms as a whole carry so much strength, warmth, sacrifice, and love. There’s something really beautiful about women showing up for one another through every season of life - encouraging each other, helping carry the hard days, celebrating the good ones, and loving children like their own.

I never took that kind of love for granted with my own mom, and I continue to feel deeply grateful for it. Happy Mother’s Day, Ma! 💕
