Spent a beautiful evening at @roythomsonhall for @ludovico_einaudi Solo Piano Tour which commenced its North American tour yesterday.

I’ve been a huge admirer of piano music, ever since I’ve learned to play the instrument as a kid. I had started listening to Ludovico Einaudi’s music a few years ago, and learned to play some of his most famous pieces too. But seeing him perform them live was an amazing and surreal experience. His take on simple melodies, articulation and the command of the instrument, feel so smooth and effortless, all played giving a feeling of continuous notes being heard like a flowing stream of water…..

Thank you for coming to Toronto @ludovico_einaudi ,gracing us with your lovely piano playing and making this evening for my family a lovely and memorable one! Grazie!

I remember seeing this mural while walking back towards Exhibition GO after the airshow. At first, I passed by, but then went back again to take a closer look.

Sometimes, you need to take a second look at something ordinary to notice details, artwork, symbolism etc. I’m guessing the mural was beside a pub/bar going with the headline at the top…🍻

Golden hour shine ✨

When I don’t have my Nikon with me, my iPhone becomes my go-to camera to pause a moment. I had taken some of these shots in the past with my iPhone, thought of sharing them slowly…

Casually walking in my neighborhood park and spotted a gaggle of geese chewing, searching for food among the grass. Just wanted to pause and take in the moments, and snap away

Final set from the @ciastoronto airshow featuring most of the aircraft acts before the snowbirds took to the skies. These were shot from Marilyn Bell Park.

Had a good time viewing the show this year, more fun editing and learning a bit more to compose. I really liked the shots where the sun and the moon came into frame as the pilots maneuvered their planes in the sky, kinda made me feel like they were flying too close to the sun….

Hats off to all the pilots and the staff who coordinate these shows, and have been flying in the skies for so many years. It takes a lot of diligence, practice and meticulous planning and coordination to kick off these flights and acrobatics in the sky 👨‍✈️👏 Thank you for putting on a spectacular show all these years !!!

@cfsnowbirds set from Day 2 at the @ciastoronto airshow.

Getting that sun and a part of the formation in my composition was something that I had not planned, but then again, the shots you look back on are sometimes the ones that you hadn’t planned in the first place….

For some reason, I had a smile on my face while watching the @cfsnowbirds perform this year. Maybe it was the fact that were performing for the last time this year / maybe it was the crowds that were cheering, clapping, looking up to the skies, trying to anticipate their moves. Seeing the Lancaster from @canadianwarplaneheritagemuseum was also a sweet surprise.

As always, I didn’t go with a specific composition idea, I moved my lens and took shots with an open mind, and an intention to capture these shots to make the viewer feel something. I didn’t mind if some onlookers passed by me, some of them created the sense of scale I accidentally captured.

Glad my parents, who were visiting, got to see this show display too.

Will definitely miss you guys @cfsnowbirds for a while until 2030. Thank you for putting on a spectacular show all these years in Toronto 🇨🇦

Neon lights, and handheld LE shots shot in Manual mode ….taken when I visited the CNE @letsgototheex for the first time last year.

I was just beginning to experiment and learn about the art of slow shutter around this time. And I remember seeing lots of CNE shots of the rides etc. Since I was taking some of these handheld, a lot of my shots didn’t end up right; blurry, not with right settings. When I came home and downloaded my shots, I was happy a few of them came out right after some post processing. Sharing one of them today..

I hope to go back again in the future with a tripod and actually compose shots like these again
