A race weekend I’ll never forget 🥹🇩🇰

Two races. Two finish lines. One very full heart.

I ran the 5K on Saturday and my 22nd half marathon on Sunday, surrounded by a sea of runners for all 21 kilometers. The energy from the runners, spectators and volunteers was absolutely ELECTRIC. What made it even more special was having friends fly in just to cheer me on 🥹

It has been days since the weekend and I really couldn’t have dreamt of a better experience…even with the very dramatic Danish weather at the end 😂 I was on such a runner’s high throughout the entire race and honestly, I still am. I’m also feeling so grateful, inspired and reminded of what running is truly about.

Oh Copenhagen, thank you for the comeback 🤍 I had the absolute time of my life on the road again 🥹

Hej from Copenhagen 🇩🇰👋🏼

I found out I secured my spot on March 10th, 2025. Yes, last year. After 558 days of waiting and counting down, I can’t believe it’s finally here!

And to top it off, this year’s race is part of the World Athletics Road Running Championships?! The whole city is buzzing with excitement and I get to be part of it?! I couldn’t have asked for better energy for my first race back. Feeling so, so lucky! 🥹✨

12 weeks. 332 kilometers. 35 runs.

I started this training block thinking I needed to become the runner I used to be.

Instead, I had to let go of all the expectations (mine and others) and meet myself where I was.

I had to unlearn the idea that a run had to be fast, long or end with a PB for it to feel worthy. After years of chasing times and goals, I had forgotten what it felt like to just run. No pressure to prove anything. No disappointment if the numbers weren’t what I wanted them to be.

And somewhere along those 332 kilometers, running started to feel freeing again. It became fun again 🥹 I’ve loved rediscovering the joy of running over these last 12 weeks.

This training block wasn’t perfect. I missed runs. Some runs humbled me. But I showed up the best I could, with the body I have today. Now I can’t believe I’ve made it to this final week.

The work is done and all that’s left to do is have fun.

What a roller coaster of emotions going through all the birthday mail 😭🥹

It has taken me more than a week to read them all (and to reply to everyone!). Every message had me laughing, crying or just staring in disbelief. You can literally see my brain trying to process it all in real time 😂 How did all of you manage to keep this a secret for six months?!? I have so many questions!

I’m still blown away by everything that went on behind the scenes. Secret group chats were formed, cards were secretly handed over while I was in the same room, people were tracked down and my sisters even went as far as reaching out to my mentors on LinkedIn. They truly went out of their way to make sure everyone I loved was part of this 🥹

The best kept secret of 2026! For six months, my sisters (@g.khor @joycekhrz) secretly reached out to family and friends from every chapter of my life and collected over 90+ postcards from 20 countries and 30 cities for my birthday 🌎 This was truly a labor of love 💌

Every postcard holds a person, a place, a memory and a different chapter of my life. The thought of every single one of you hand selecting a postcard, writing a note and finding a post office…some while on a holiday, honeymoon or even a work trip, makes my heart oh SO full 🥹

I had the best time (and many tears 😭) reading every handwritten note, admiring every postcard and postage stamp and being completely mind blown by how early some of you mailed them out! The earliest dating back to March?! 🤯 Oh the commitment to keeping this secret for MONTHS!!! 😭

And speaking of commitment…@g.khor literally took an overnight bus from Singapore to KL just to hand deliver these postcards to me, making sure it was the very first thing I saw when I woke up on my birthday morning. I MEAN?!?! 😭🥹😭

And to my fairy godmothers @winn_phuah @nelleb612 who lent their address to this surprise, THANK YOU! Safe to say, your home was the hottest address in Singapore for the past six months 😂💌

OH TO BE LOVED BY ALL OF YOU 💛 Thank you, thank you, thank you ALL for the most thoughtful, most “me” birthday surprise ever. I don’t think I’ll get over this one 😭 by @crzkhor

37 days. My longest stretch in Singapore this year (the last was 43 days back in April 2025).

It’s been so refreshing to stay in one place for more than a moment. To leave my suitcase in the closet and settle into a proper routine that has brought some much needed stability.

So many long overdue catch ups with friends. Slow weekends spent reading (5 books!) and exploring Singapore. Locking in on my half marathon training (Oy! I almost forgot how hard training can be!). And quality time with my parents while they were in town.

Somewhere in these 37 days, I finally felt settled. Planted. Like Singapore stopped feeling like a place I just passed through and started feeling like home. Only took 22 months.

It will be a while before I’m back for another stretch like this. For now, I’m feeling rested and grateful with a very full cup.
