Collector of Goosebumps and more

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

30 years ago today Goosebumps The Girl Who Cried Monster premiered. Shown are the screen used fangs worn by the actress Lynne Cormack who portrayed Mrs Dark. These fangs can be seen in one of Goosebumps best twist endings as Mrs. Dark transforms into a snake monster and attacks Mr. Mortman. This was the first ever Goosebumps episode filmed. What's also cool is the attack scene these are shown in is what wrapped up the first official day of filming for the show. Once the scene finished and filming was done for the day the teeth were placed in a makeup bag where they sat for 29 years until I acquired them. I honestly can't believe I have a screen used item from my favorite episode and not only that but from a pivotal part of the episode. No question this is probably the smallest item in my collection but by far my most cherished.

I still can't get over how great these card shelves from Party city closing came in handy. I bought two of these for $25 and they each have 64 slots on them. They are perfect size for books, DVDs, and VHS.

All original 62 are displayed but I had to pick and choose from series 2000 and GYG so I could add the TV presents, VHS, and signed DVDs. Everything else is on my other shelves but I really like this section and how Everytime I walk in there it feels like I'm back in a scholastic book fair.

The Girl Who Cried Monster library exterior location. This was a blast to visit being that the episode is my favorite.

The exterior and interior shots are in two different places but very close to each other. The exterior shots as seen here is a frat house actually. The first night I visited the location taking photos and videos a frat bro had his window open and was drinking beer while watching me ahah. I can only imagine what he was thinking.

R.L Stine's The Cat In The Coffin New York Comic Con Exclusive. This cover variant was done by Goosebumps artist Tim Jacobus and was exclusive to NYCC Saturday & Sunday only and limited to 300. I love the design and art for this with the gnarly mangled cat coming out of the coffin in a graveyard. I really get old school original Goosebumps vibes with this. Also, Tim was kind enough to sign this for me after going on a top secret mission to find protective sleeves for his art 😂.

Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes 30th anniversary and filming location. I always thought this episode was wacky and fun. Interesting note Cal Dodd voices the lawn gnomes Hap & chip for this episode. The houses and yards look just as they did in the episode minus all of the crazy yard ornaments.

Rl Stine on Tubi panel today from NYCC. Here's some videos and photos I took from the panel. They announced R.L Stine's The Babysitter is coming to Tubi next year along with Afraid of Clowns. It also sounds like this is just the start of Stine's stories being brought to the screen with Tubi. Thankfully someone is doing it because Disney sure fucked it up with Goosebumps. Also, Cassandra (Elvira) sent in a video since she wasn't able to make it to the panel.

Goosebumps filming location and 29th anniversary for The Barking Ghost. I personally don't think this is one of the worst episodes but it's pretty forgettable. The house is located within sunnybrook park and is right by some werewolf skin locations. Sunnybrook park is hollowed grounds for Goosebumps. So many episodes were filmed within the park and you really can't walk anywhere without seeing a filming location.

Goosebumps replica prop for the Verona XG-20 universal remote as shown in the episode Click. The attention to detail on this is absolutely insane and looks just like the one used in the episode. The box size, design, paperwork, warning note, and warranty card all matches. This makes for a great display piece on the shelf. I'd love to add some of the original props to my collection but for now this will do. Thanks to @fishyfigs for this item and @evenmarshmallow for killing it with the realness.
There's no way the movie click didn't use this episode for inspiration!

It's October 3rd and it's also raining here so what better time to share some photos from various Mean Girls filming locations. Mean Girls was filmed in the Toronto area and on my last trip I was able to take some time to visit the locations. For the most part everything looks exactly the same!

It never gets old meeting Stine and listening to him crack jokes about Goosebumps and his career. Yesterday he had an event called An Evening With Stine that was a part of the Virginia Book Fair. I finally got him to sign my The Girl Who Cried Monster script. He mentioned to me how dark (no pun intended) of a story this really is and the episode did a great job with it. Stine and his wife had script approval rights and he is credited as a writer since it's his created story.

Also, it was an absolute blast finally meeting @boo_dude_its_curly @eeekkkk.its.jackieeee and spending the day with them. I'm hoping we can do the same again soon!

Goosebumps filming location for Don't Go To Sleep. The episode also premiered 29 years ago to the day. There really isn't much to say about this episode and the saving grace for me is that it features hockey and Don Cherry.

The house shown is Matt Amsterdam's from the episode and is seen in the opening shot, when Matt& his mom leave for hockey, and the wedding scene. The house has been run down for years but looked even more rundown in August than when I saw it a year ago.

Don cherry is a legendary hockey figure and is the loud coach in the episode. I wouldn't doubt it if they just told him to be himself and those weren't scripted lines lol.
