We lost the best boy in the world unexpectedly yesterday. 💔

He loved croissants. He loved the beach but hated the water. He was hilarious and always knew how to make me laugh when I needed it. If I could I’d bring him the best beach in the world one more time. Hold him one more time. Feel him curled up along my side on a winter night.

My best friend, the best companion, travel buddy, and security guard. I’m shattered the last eight months have just felt like loss after loss. Every time I think I’m finally crawling out of the stinking tar pits of grief something hits.

Please don’t ask me if I’m okay because I am not. I just want to remember him and grieve for a while.

While spending the better half of last week in bed with an official end of summer flu, I got around to reflecting on the joy that was summer. Actually, if you know me, than you know I haven’t shut up about this summer- but you know which summer I mean- THE summer. The summer the brothers Gallagher reunited and created absolute nostalgic pandemonium relieving us, ever briefly, of some of the crushing weight of this current world.

Truthfully, I’m still one foot in Manchester, on an absolutely boiling Saturday in July, surrounded by 80,000 other beautiful freaks in bucket hats experiencing music history in the making, and singing like I’m the only one around for miles. But as the weather here in Germany slammed us rudely into the throws of late autumn, I’m going to disassociate just a bit longer back to that trip through 90s brit-pop fever, of which I’ve compiled just a small sample of some of my favorites from this era here for you today.

Little personal update! 🪩

I’m thrilled to announce that I joined the Board of Directors for @the.vinguard in March of this year! The Vinguard’s mission is to promote a culture in the wine industry centered around ecological farming, belonging, empowerment, and equity, and to amplify the voices and work of historically excluded groups who work with wine. It’s incredibly exciting to be working alongside like-minded folk who are looking to promote and improve the natural wine community!

Many of you know I have been involved with @winefaresf since 2019. It’s grown to be one of my favorite events- and it’s been an honor to be involved in each one.

Anywayyyy to the point- We’re back this Saturday at Haigh Street Art Center for this year’s edition! I’d love to see you all there- this is our largest fundraising event of the year and we are looking to make it a great edition despite all the political and economic setbacks the industry is facing this year.
