Once a teacher, now a sketcher of people, places, pets and things. Happy to consider commissions in pencil, charcoal, colour-pencil and watercolour.

Forgot to post this one… From the 3rd October Mapcrunch Challenge: a country road near Glemmingebro, Sweden. I think the field behind was full of sunflowers. #glemmingebro #ruralsweden #mapcrunchchallenge #mapcrunch by @cscottmakesart

Uffa!! Perspective challenge with an urban scene as the Mapcrunch Challenge today: a street in Seoul, South Korea. And, @appupaints , I’m as useless at drawing cars as you profess to be! This daily practice is an enjoyable discipline nonetheless, isn't it? All caught up now! #nowongu #southkorea🇰🇷️️ #mapcrunch #mapcrunchchallenge by @cscottmakesart

The Mapcrunch sketches will be all muddled for the next couple of days as I catch up a bit and prepare for my next (real) travel adventures… but here’s Day 37’s from yesterday. The beautiful Abbey in Saint-Jean-aux-Bois. #saintjeanauxbois #mapcrunchchallenge #mapcrunch #notredamesaintjeanbaptiste by @cscottmakesart

Poor light and rushing leads to muddy colours especially as this is a detailed panorama… Ah well! You can’t win ‘em all ! Mapcrunch Art Challenge Day 33 2nd October: Ha-Nelese, Maseru District, Lesotho.

Only a few minutes to throw at this today but Mapcrunch has taken me to a desert: Nouadibou, Mauritania.
Free and easy with watercolour and Brusho paints.

Today’s Mapcrunch (Day 31 for me) is a pastoral scene near Žilina, Slovakia. Lovely! I left out the cyclists…

Mapcrunch Art Challenge Day 30 today and I’m presented with the vast spread of Antarctica! So I embraced the almost abstract landscape to sketch this. All caught up now! #mapcrunchchallenge #antarctic #semiabstractlandscape by @cscottmakesart

Reflecting the shape of a Mayan temple, this lovely modern Cathedral building and tower are in Rio de Janiero. Day 29 of my Mapcrunch Challenge involvement. I’m having to catch up with the photographs but I can promise you that the sketch was largely completed on the actual day! It’s a good discipline!! #mapcrunchchallenge #riodejaneiro #mapcrunch by @cscottmakesart

My 28th day of the Mapcrunch Art Challenge and I was in Halberstadt, Germany. Looks like a lovely place and interestingly, the St Burchardi Church (not in the sketch!) is the venue for the performance of John Cage’s famously slow, centuries-long performance of John Cage’s organ piece ASLSP. #halberstadt #mapcrunchchallenge #mapcrunch #dailysketching by @cscottmakesart
