Seminarian Nick Rocha, C.S.C., spent two months living and serving at a Holy Cross parish in Mexico:"My pastoral experience at Nuestra Madre Santísima de La Luz was a true experience of living out the call of our Constitutions to 'stand side by side with all people' by going 'across borders of every sort' (2:12; 2:17). Over the course of two months, I had the opportunity to pray with the community in liturgies, in processions, in groups, and on retreat. I visited the sick, brought Communion to the homebound, helped out at physical therapy, served migrants at Casa Nicolas, and assisted with catechesis and youth groups. Apart from the work, there was dancing and feasting, and many evenings spent with generous and hospitable people. Throughout my time in Mexico, I was inspired daily by the joy, hope, zeal, and resilience of the people, particularly the youth and young adults. I am full of gratitude for the ways God used this time to form me more according to the image of His Son, and I trust that my ministry will continue to bear fruit in my life and the lives of the people here by the work of the Spirit. I pray that Maria, La Virgen de Guadalupe y Madre Santísima de La Luz, may bless this apostolate and all the works of Holy Cross. And may she continue to draw to her Son Holy Cross religious 'Segun su corazon,' 'After His own heart.'"#cscvocations #holycross #international #catholic #seminary by @cscvocations

2026 Summer Seminary Immersion Program highlights!Led by members of the Congregation of Holy Cross, this year's Summer Seminary Immersion Program welcomed 30 high school men for two weeks of prayer, formation, and brotherhood on campus at Notre Dame. Through common prayer, common meals, recreation, and a theology course credited through Notre Dame's Theology Department, participants grew in their relationship with Christ and His Church, deepened their understanding of the consecrated life and Holy Cross, and formed lasting friendships rooted in the Lord.We hope you'll join us for SSIP 2027!
