Just completed my longest walk/hike of 2026 with Cochrane walking club! Incredible views of my new town of Cochrane Alberta and stunning landscapes with over 12km grueling up & down on concrete pathways, filled with free range cattle. It was an intense pace on my old legs but worth it all and the beautiful autumn in all her glory!

Amazing community and fitness freaks for sure!

Calgary and Cochrane connections! Let’s bring our business community together! 🤝

I’m excited to co-host Speed Networking Live in Cochrane on Tuesday, October 6, alongside lead instructor and host Marc Palud @the_venue_cochrane

This pilot event is an opportunity for local business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals to meet new people, share what they do and explore potential referrals and collaborations through guided conversations.

Since moving to Alberta, I’ve enjoyed building connections across Calgary and Cochrane. Now, I’m looking forward to helping others expand their local networks too.

Join us or help spread the word! If you know someone in Cochrane or the surrounding Calgary area who would enjoy making new business connections, please share this invitation or tag them below.

Event details and registration:

How to Be an Active Non-Indigenous Ally: Practical Steps for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡

Allyship is not a label we claim; it is an ongoing practice of learning, listening, and taking meaningful action. To support Truth and Reconciliation, non-Indigenous allies must actively work to dismantle systemic barriers and foster cultural safety in their personal and professional lives.

If you are looking to move from awareness to action, here are practical steps you can take to practice active allyship:

1. Do the Groundwork: Educate Yourself First.
Read the Calls to Action: Familiarize yourself with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) 94 Calls to Action. Identify how they apply to your specific field, workplace, or community.
Learn the Local History: Research the treaties, traditional territories, and languages of the land where you live and work.
Listen Without Interrupting: Seek out books, podcasts, and articles by Indigenous authors, historians, and Elders. Focus on listening to understand, rather than responding.
2. Challenge Bias and Speak Up
Address Harmful Stereotypes: Gently but firmly challenge myths, racist remarks, or systemic biases when you encounter them in social, familial, or professional settings.
De-center Yourself: Use your platform to amplify Indigenous voices, rather than speaking on their behalf.
3. Support Indigenous Sovereignty and Economy
Buy Indigenous: Make a conscious effort to support Indigenous-owned businesses, artists, and community-led initiatives.
Support Grassroots Organizations: Donate to or volunteer with organizations that support Indigenous youth, language revitalization, and land-based healing.
4. Reflect and Adapt Your Practice
Examine Your Workplace: Ask how your organization can integrate cultural protocols, provide trauma-informed spaces, and recruit and retain Indigenous staff equitably.
Embrace the Discomfort: Acknowledging difficult truths can be uncomfortable. Accept this discomfort as a necessary part of growth and healing.

Reconciliation is a shared responsibility. By taking consistent, respectful action, we can build a foundation of mutual respect and genuine partnership. by @cserpanchy

My heart is full after two incredible events last night. ✨

First, I joined my friends, Victoria artist @marionevamy and @inspiredwithjane Jane Stewart of Inspired with Jane, for UNBROKEN, an evening of art and storytelling supporting Little Warriors @smithbilthats and the heartfelt stories of children and women who've experienced profound challenges.

Then it was on to @thefamilyadvocatescanada - community Advocates for Canada’s Legacy Builders Gala in Calgary, celebrating people who are strengthening families and communities.

I’m so grateful for the friendships and the new friends that brought me into these rooms and for the inspiring people I met in them. There was so much purpose, laughter FASHION and glitter packed into one glorious day!

I left feeling so energized that I got lost driving home. 😂 I may need to move a little closer to the city! by @cserpanchy

Hard to believe it...but it's true!! Since Aug 10th 2012.. I've been able to share my life with the most amazing guy on the planet.

He's loving, generous, loyal and intelligent. Such a goofy guy, and always reliable, so amazing, he never argues but can be stubborn, always follows me around wherever I go and never complains.

He always listens, he never judges. He connects with EVERYONE he meets. Honestly feel like I've won the lottery in this life.

He's the first boy I've ever felt this kind of love for and I'm only grateful for the years and adventures we get to share together... Metchosin BC, Vancouver Island, Seattle WA, Lake of the Woods Ontario, Lake Winnipeg MB, Fairmont, Radium, Nelson and Fernie BC, The Kootneys, Vancouver BC, Gimli Manitoba, Grand Beach, Whistler BC, Kelowna, Penticton BC, Regina SK, Winnipeg, Hecla MB, Calgary, Cochrane and Canmore AB to name a few.

And how wonderful that I get to see my beautiful boy Jackson turn fourteen years old this year. Even with his challenges he always survives them all and surpassed any diagnosis.

He's the strongest and smartest fur child a person could ask for. Some days I don't think I deserve him and he's taught me much about being forgiving, being in the moments, responsible, resilience and patient. I'm the luckiest women in the world to experience such an amazing relationship with an animal like Jackson who we raised in Metchosin BC!

I never got to grow up with pets as a youth. So to say I LOVE you to the moon and back is just a small token of my appreciation and gratitude.

I pray daily that God gives us a few more adventures to share before we have to say good night.. and see you soon. Cherishing ever day and every move we make!

Love you Jackson - Happy Birthday my beautiful chocolate Boy! taken in Cochrane, Alberta by @cserpanchy
