I ran my first ever half marathon this year. That pushed me to a limit I didn’t even know I had. I never understood really when people talked about a runners high, but let me tell you, running for 2 hours straight will do that for sure. I think that’s because the amount of times throughout that race I’m just in my own head, nothing but my thoughts, thinking damn I can’t wait until this is over lol. The amount of times I wanted to just stop and rest and walk, but kept on going. I didn’t feel that runners high until it was done. That feeling when you crossed the finish line finally made me understand why people do these types of races. That feeling of accomplishment was pretty incredible. I may have ONE marathon in the tank. We’ll see!

It’s a long game.

Plan, prepare for the long haul. You can always pivot, you can change your mind, you can go all in, you can scale it back. You’ll win some, you’ll lose some. That’s life, just don’t lose the lesson. Keep going, stay active, learn to be a constant student, ask questions. Execute. Be kind to people, show up when you can, build a network.

If one can do that, one will be able to look up and be proud of the portfolio they put together.

It’s a long road. It’s a long game we’re playing. You could be winning one day, slipping the next. You could be slipping in one chapter, winning in the next chapter. Just keep going. You don’t know when the change is going to happen, just keep your feet moving, be a constant student and start moving like you already have what you want to become. Because you do.

Let it all workout. Always has. Just one foot in front of the other. Keep going, rest when you can, ask questions. Spend time with your people. Be kind to yourself and others. Reflect on what’s working, remove what’s not working and find moments to smile and laugh through it all.

I’m realizing more and more if you whole heartedly went for something and/or going for something that you always wanted to do, create or become. I have so much respect for you it’s actually crazy. Realizing more and more, it either serves me and who I want to become and what I want to do or it does not. Simple.

My actions and choices will serve and take me towards that version of myself or further away.

Until then enjoy the journey, every part of it. Like strive to be ultra happy. See the light or the opportunity to grow and make the time to connect with your people, I think that’s what this life is all about. by @cseverin_9

Reset and keep your feet moving. When it’s time to be still, be still. And just be thankful for it all, through it all, for who you met on the journey and who you became on the way. Being proud of that. Being thankful for it all. Truly.
