A pause during one of yesterday’s walks. I find that I am reflecting a lot on grief and the compound nature of loss in this season of life. There has been so much loss lately: some following the natural rhythms of life and death, others disrupting that order painfully, and all leaving their marks. As always, I am grateful for the beauty of the natural world and its cycles of light and dark, life and death. by @csfrench

Sunday afternoon walk at the Tarrytown Lakes without Viola just doesn’t have the same ring, but I enjoyed my solo saunter nonetheless. And the light rain fit my mood perfectly. by @csfrench

Another bittersweet weekend in Boston, but I am beyond grateful for the time with family and friends. The weekend was full of nature, conversation, good food, music, dancing, laughter, joy, and tears. Thank you, Lena, for bringing us together and expanding my community again. We miss you so much. by @csfrench
