POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I know i’ve whined a lot, and I stand by it- hopefully most of you realize it comes from a deep respect of this sport that has afforded all of us a lot of stuff- a skill, a community, an opportunity for travel and friendships , for a lot of us a variety of jobs- and I don’t want to see it all fall apart as we veer from what’s right and let the money win everytime, uncontested. Anyway, here’s a carousel of new friends, old friends, and a lot of great times over the last 2 months of The Academy New York Residency. taken in New York, New York by @cshaptennispod

I wanted to put these here mostly for myself-a lot of good lessons and reminders. Firstly, @blestjones is a tremendous tennis player- I can’t imagine how good he was when he actually played. For those of you looking to get better, @coachblest will do that. Thanks for carrying us Coach, I’m sorry I let us down, but you really pushed me through- I was dying. I don’t often play liveball stuff but the @fayewebsterinvitational run by @lvbl.club was awesome-well run and a great time- thanks for having me, I really needed that- I can’t deny it, the Team Liveball format is a fun competitive format. And what a tremendous night we had Sunday night at the concert with my neighbors. It was a cool thing to see sort of a different group in action. Stay curious my friends-there’s a whole world out there away from the screens. taken in Fonda Theatre by @cshaptennispod

What a day what a day what a day. Putting these here to commemorate what was a gargantuan effort. Thank you to everyone. That was awesomeness. Tennis when done right, when the attention is to the experience and not on the bullshit- is undefeated. by @cshaptennispod

You guys might get a kick out of this- a mockumentary short I directed for Lexus and Nintendo WII around a US Open promotion, circa 2008 I bet. It was one of those moments and projects that wasn’t memorable at the time but I just watched it and thought it was really good. I forgot the lead’s name- I believe it was Tyler, but he did a tremendous job. He went into character and 85 % of this piece was ad-libbed. I have stayed away from directing actors, but this was good. by @cshaptennispod
