Last Sunday a few friends and I were involved in a multi-car pileup on our drive back to school from spring break. This accident was a wake up call to thanking God and turning to Him in all times. It’s easy to put Him on the back burner when things are going good and turn back to Him when something traumatic, or life changing happens. I’m not saying we don’t turn to Him in the scariest of times, because that’s exactly what my friends and I did after we crashed. We were the first of many crashes to happen in this pileup, and we found peace in prayer. Everyone talks about how scary an accident is but what terrified me most were the crashes we heard after our initial crash. The memory of crushing metal and cars slamming into each other is what continues to play back in my head. In this moment though I felt God’s presence, I’m not sure which one of us started praying I just know we prayed while chaos was happening all around us. A time of absolute fear of freezing in the car, not knowing what injuries we may have, or if we were going to feel another impact hit our car; we went to God in prayer giving our trust to Him for no matter what happened it was all part of His plan. So after this I give thanks to God for the days we do have here on this earth with the people we love, because life is short. However, I also give thanks knowing when tragedy happens and we have no clue what the outcome may be in the earthly trials we face, we may have peace going to Him in prayer and when it is our time we will be greeted by God in paradise when He calls us home. Knowing these things we can have peace in the trials and the times of thanksgiving in this life.

Hip surgery —> NCCAA
What a year it’s been

Thank you so much @cuaaxctf for the last 2 years. After these 2 years I can truly say CUAA is the home I will forever miss, not the place but the people. I have been blessed to have a team I can call family, but just like our school all good things must come to an end.
Goodbye CUAA❤️
