♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ode to love captured♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
to the loves of my life
friends & lovers,
passing ships & sunsets,
coffees & sancerre,
dancing & napping,
engagements & dinner dates,
babies & rom coms,
late night phone calls & nye face times,
protests & pride,
christmas cards & memes,
loss & retrieval.

I found this year I need you less and less
to know that the strength of my self love
but I want you still
my loves you fill my days with smiles
you swim naked in the lake
and with me you dance
to songs of our childhood
I want to share more time, always more time
I want to say I miss you and have you share
in the depth of what I mean
I want to overwhelm you with gratitude
for the time we have had

so I will try
to say thank you
for being my friend
for being my lover
for being a passing ship
for witnessing the sunsets with me
for taking coffee in the afternoon and
for drinking sancerre on the seine
for dancing with the soft animal of our bodies
for napping in the warmth of summer
for sharing your engagements with me and
for taking me out to dinner
for bringing babies full of love into this world
for watching romcoms all summer after a barbecue
for calling at 11pm est - 5am cet - counts on fingers always
for factiming me on nye so I was with my clostest friends at the rining in of 2026
for protesting for love, for equality, for rights
for celebrating our love
for sending cards overseas and
for thinking of me when you saw that meme
for all the loss we have faced this year, the balm of love heals it and
for witnessing me retrieve the self love I came here to find and loving me along the way by @csnapinover

“What I mean of course is that our human relationship with strawberries is transformed by our choice of perspective. It is human perception that makes the world a gift. When we view the world this way, strawberries and humans alike are transformed. The relationship of gratitude and reciprocity thus developed can increase the evolutionary fitness of both plant and animal. A species and a culture that treat the natural world with respect and reciprocity will surely pass on genes to ensuing generations with a higher frequency than the people who destroy it. The stories we choose to shape our behaviors have adaptive consequences.”
