Rain poured on race day in Surrey this year, but our students shone. 🌧️✨Surrey’s 5K was more than just a run. it was a powerful display of resilience, joy, and community. An unforgettable day at the 2025 Invictus Games!The WKF had the honour of chaperoning over 400 youth from the Surrey School District to experience the power of sport, resilience, and teamwork. 🌟 Spotlight on the Community Schools Partnership Department! 🌟Established in 2007 by Surrey Schools, the CSP department is dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families who face barriers to accessing essential programs and resources. The Hockey Education Reaching Out Society(HEROS) is a program that uses the game of hockey to teach life-skills and empower Canada’s youth. The HEROS program supports 60 students grades 4-12 (from multiple schools) to participate in a fun and structured ice hockey program free of charge.HEROS hockey believes that once a HERO always a HERO, creating a life long platform for participants from elementary to adulthood as coaches and volunteers! by @cspsurrey
