Hello for day three of my takeover I want to talk about my host university! I got to Sookmyung Women’s university and I truly love this school. The campus is very large and I honestly haven’t gotten the chance to explore every building however I have explored many and I want to talk about them.
My school’s Main library is located on the 2nd campus and I will do a reel video about that.

there is a building called prime complex and it’s connected to other buildings. The building is so vast I got lost in it because I took the wrong elevator. Inside this building is a Starbucks and art exhibits/ museum exhibits. They frequently switch the art exhibits so it is nice to go in when you are done with class. There are many places to sit and the wifi connection is strong.

There is another building called centennial hall(also very big to be honest all the buildings are huge with many floors) and i usually go there for events or to meet up with my tutee. Inside the building they also have a whole museum memorial where they play the South Korea anthem and give you relics and knowledge on how the school came to be and what outside forces where happening during the time of the foundation.

Sookmyung women’s university was the first royal private educational institution for women and the personal memorial inside the building was very informative on women’s history.

The campus has ponds and a garden where there are benches and seats. Students usually nap here or just sit. It’s very relaxing hearing the water run from the fountains and the birds chirp.
The classes are very big some classes hold 100+ students where it’s more lectured focus & others 40
The campus is split by a road that separates campus one and campus two. There are multiple places to eat on campus and the most famous one is called “THE BAKE” and just from wondering place to place I have discovered three in totality. The school also has a GS25 self checkout convenience store .

For most students who dorm their “commute” is 2-7 minutes. My commute is 13-25 by a bus ride.
There are also a lot of hills to walk on campus

Hello everyone for day 2 I want to talk about some Korean food I eat while abroad. This is Samgak-Gimbap and I enjoy it because it’s easy to buy at the convenience store, the packaging is brilliant and has two ways you can unpack it(you can open it without the seaweed touching the rice or open the package with the seaweed prepped like in the video) it comes in all types of flavors and my favorite is any flavor with tuna. If I could describe the taste I’d say it taste like a spoonful of dinner. This particular samgak-gimbap was a bit spicy and had chunks of beef to give it an amazing texture. I usually eat these for breakfast lunch and dinner and it’s my most eaten dorm meal besides the hamburger:) the more you know! - Jahnifah
