🎉We’re back with our next CHHS Class of 2026 Student Spotlight, Jillian Arriola! Jillian graduated with a Master of Science degree in Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology. She also was one of our CHHS Student Commencement Speakers!

Inspired by her experiences as a former collegiate athlete, Jillian pursued sport psychology to help support athletes through injury recovery and mental performance. A highlight was watching Jillian graduate with one of her best friends, Laney. 🎓🎓

ASAPP, where movement meets healthy living 💛🥗

This session was intentionally designed to challenge, engage, and empower our athletes through structured, high-energy, and cross-curricular learning experiences.

We began with a dynamic locomotor warm-up (walking, jogging, skipping) to activate the body and prepare for movement.

Athletes then entered the main activity, Healthy Meal Challenge:
🛴 Scooter board navigation through obstacle courses
🥦 Collecting “ingredients” to build a balanced meal
🧠 Integrating nutrition concepts with physical activity

Each station emphasized movement skills, decision-making, and understanding healthy habits, all while promoting confidence and active participation across all ability levels.

We closed with guided static stretching to support recovery and flexibility.

A strong example of how movement + nutrition education can come together to create meaningful, engaging experiences for every athlete.
