Each year at the Connecticut Children's Foundation Gala, our Bid for Kids live appeal gives every guest the opportunity to make an impact by supporting a featured program or department at Connecticut Children's.

Last year, guests rallied around our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)—helping ensure our smallest and most vulnerable patients receive the specialized care they need. 👶💙

The impact? Connecticut Children’s was able to open the first of two new NICUs in the new Clinical Tower.
Take a look at the incredible moment 14 babies from the existing Medical Center and two babies from NICU East at Hartford Hospital were transferred into their new state-of-the-art private rooms on the Tower’s sixth floor. ✨

@huskython made recruitment personal, and the results followed. 🐾

The team reworked its Dancer Representative program to give organizations support based on their size, history and individual needs. They traded one-size-fits-all communication for real conversations that helped students feel connected from the start.
More students registered, activation grew and fewer participants finished at $0, even with a larger participant base.
Congratulations to HuskyTHON on earning the Excellence in Recruitment Award. You showed that students are more likely to stay involved when they feel seen, supported and part of something bigger. 🏆 by @ctchildrensfoundation

@connecticutchildrens had a special visitor yesterday! 💛🍌
@connorharris30, a pitcher for the Savannah Bananas and a Connecticut native, stopped by to spend the afternoon with our patients and families!

Connor toured our new Clinical Tower, made crafts with the kids, shared plenty of laughs, and brought so much joy throughout the hospital. It was a blast having you here, and we’re so grateful you took the time to create such meaningful memories.

At not yet two years old, Anastasia was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer.

After chemotherapy, surgery, a bone marrow transplant, and immunotherapy, she just celebrated her 6th birthday and looks forward entering 1st grade in the fall.💙
