A monumental moment for @theporterhousekc, as we partner with @kccurrent and @bankofamerica, thanks to @dp_taylor and her team for the Innovators Circle, designed for entrepreneurs in KC. It was a great time with speakers @genuinejuiceguy, @samoanrastaa, @bshann5, @mdierqueen, and @jannaegammage. The panel featured rock stars @lomomma @eball_er @ravenjemison . #kccurrent⚽️ #theporterhousekc #ridethewave #entrepreneurship #workshop #innovators #gems #rubyjeansjuicery #mademobb taken in CPKC Stadium by @cthompsonkc

PHKC would be nothing without... you 🧡

It rained (literally), and you came anyway.

We tried to get everybody in the frame, but the room was too ✨ full ✨ of good people! We tagged everyone we could, including some we know we missed!

To our alumni who came back for another month of A Seat at the Table, to everyone who made it into the frame, and to everyone who didn’t: thank you for stepping out in the rain to be here. Your presence was a gift.

A special 🧡 to Mr. James Bryant (@universaltemple) for leading a conversation that reminded us taking care of our business starts with taking care of ourselves.

A special 🧡 to Ms. Shelia Johnson (a Cohort #1 alum!) with @gangstagoodieskitchen for keeping us (well) fed and the room warm.

NOVEMBER = new guest speaker | new alumni caterer | same great table

Second Alumni dinner in the books! A special shoutout to @mmm_schultz14 and @mdierqueen for pulling it all together! Chef @gangstagoodieskitchen for providing such a good meal for us, and @universaltemple for leading us in a thoughtful discussion on addressing our mental health. A seat at the table matters! Be honest… you were rooting for the box 👀

Now, let’s talk about you.

You’ve been doing the pop-ups, you’re building the following, and you’re ready for more.

Our open pods here at 811 Retail are your next step toward brick and mortar, right alongside:

A seat at the table 🍽️ First alumni dinner in the books — nothing but good food, great company, and even better conversation. Big thanks to @gnocchidokeykc for the flavor and @ladonna.tresses for the blessing over it all. This is just the beginning. The next one will be even better. Thank you for loving me with reckless abandon. I love you, infinitely and I love doing life with you.
