POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s another busy week at Cherry Tree Lane Vacations! On Thursday, @kierstenamobrien , @ctlvholly , @amberplansthemagic , and @ctlvpaul toured the Vision of the Seas in Baltimore, your most local cruising option from South Central PA and Maryland.

Today were posted at CAIU Fall Fest in Enola, PA. Come out and visit until 3pm on 10/24! by @ctlvholly

Thanks to @ctlvnicolenegley for being a good sport and joining me on “my idyllic Disney California Adventure morning”.

While y’all are running for Incredicoaster or Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout, I’ll be enjoying the likes of Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Silly Symphony Swings, Goofy’s Sky School, Pixar Pal Around, Radiator Springs Racers, and Animation Academy. All of these are attractions that can’t be enjoyed at Walt Disney World*

*Animation Academy is returning to Walt Disney World, but Disneyland is the only place where you can enjoy this special experience with a live animator.

We might have also stopped at Toy Story Mania. I mean, we were walking RIGHT by it…what were we supposed to do?? Skip it?? Blasphemy.

The official name of this celebration is “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco”, but even if you can’t remember all of the words, you should still go see it if you’re visiting during the Fall. This show is heartwarming, colorful, and sentimental. It will have you smiling from ear to ear, but in typical Pixar fashion, don’t be surprised if that grin is peppered by a few tears.

6 hours, 13 attractions. 2 character meet & greets, snack time, Disneyland Q&A with a 30-year cast member, reserved world of color viewing, shopping for some exclusive merchandise, and most importantly, a memorable day with friends & colleagues! It’s such an honor to have the opportunity to share experiences like these with our team. And this time the tour came with a bonus: our guide just happened to be a very dear friend of mine. @mrodriguezno1

A VIP tour is an amazing way to spend a day at a Disney Park. It’s more than just fast access to attractions and reserved viewing areas. Each guide excels in different aspects of hosting—some are great with kids, some are well-versed in Disney history, some are great with multi-generational families. When you book your tour with your Cherry Tree Lane Vacations agent, we make every effort to place a guide request that matches the personality of your party.

Due to the difference in size between the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World resort and the difference in the logistics of how the tours are conducted, a VIP tour at Disneyland is an even better value than a VIP tour at Walt Disney World.

We checked out Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner at Storytellers Cafe for our Welcome to Disneyland dinner and I continue to be impressed with how far dinner has come at this restaurant. The buffet had fewer items than Goofy’s Kitchen, but the options are very nice (better than Goofy’s?) quality. The character interaction was fantastic and our server Carlos not only attended to all of our needs quickly and efficiently, but brought a huge helping of fun and personality to our evening!

This version of the dinner experience is generally available in the Fall, with a switchover to Mickey’s Christmas Carol characters beginning mid-December. Donald’s Tales of Adventure is expected to return to dinner after the new year.

Will you try Storyteller’s Cafe for dinner on your next Disneyland trip? Which theme would you prefer?

The Grand Californian is my resort of choice at the Disneyland Resort. I’ve always been a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright and even though his Prairie style architecture is distinct from the California Craftsman style, but are derived from the arts & crafts movement. So a hotel dedicated to showcasing that California Craftsman style was always going to be a hit with me. I love the natural elements, the simplicity of the lines, and the warmth of the materials.

Come to think of it, its nit just the rich dark woods and the beautiful fireplaces, the people are really warm here, too. Shout out to Linda, who was a opening day cast member at this hotel in 2001 and celebrated 25 years in this location in February of this year. Linda was the very first Disneyland cast member we ever met on our first trip to California 11 years ago and she made such an impact on is that we still make an effort to swing by and say hello! (I tried this year, but i couldn’t seem to catch her when she was free.)

And let’s not forget about convenience. Disney’s Beach Club Resort may be a short walk from Epcot and Disney’s Contemporary Resort might be just steps from Magic Kingdom, but with its back entrance to Disney California Adventure, Disney’s Grand Californian is the only Disney hotel in the U.S. to have a direct theme park entrance.

If you’ve been following my posts, you’ve now seen all three (that’s right, east coasters. There are only 3!) onsite hotels at Disneyland resort, which one looks the most exciting to you? by @ctlvholly

We didn’t stay at Disneyland Hotel at all this time, but it’s always worth a visit! We actually had pool privileges there because the water slide for our pool was closed for refurbishment, but we didn’t prioritize pool hopping on this trip.

I really love Disneyland Hotel’s holiday decorations. They really go all in on Haunted Mansion at Halloween. And wait until you see Christmas here!

Even if you can visit during the holidays, the whimsical tea cup chairs in the lobby, the monorail water slides, and hallway celebrating the history of Disneyland’s first official hotel await you every day of the year. If you’re not smitten by the public spaces, swipe into your room and let the character of your room delight even the coldest, most cynical heart.

Let’s start the conversation about your Disneyland vacation today! Hit the message button and let’s connect.

Sharper, Brighter, Cleaner lines. I love the change from Paradise Pier to Pixar Place! The rooms are still huge, but the new style is striking.

And you can’t beat the convenience! (Ok technically you can beat it if you stay at the a Grand Californian, but it’s still REALLY convenient to stay here.) It takes 12 minutes to walk from Disney’s Contemporary Resort to the Magic Kingdom in Florida and it takes 12 minutes to walk from Pixar Place to Disneyland Park.

Nearly every room has either a view of the pool or a view of some portion of Disney California Adventure.

Plus this hotel has a fun history—it was built as the Emerald of Anaheim Hotel to house the influx of tourists for the 1984 Olympics. It was purchased by Disney 11 years later to expand the resort and it is on its third iteration as an official Disney property.

We chose club level accommodations, which includes access to the Creator’s Club Lounge on the second floor of Pixar Place. It was a great congregation space and given the limited nature of the quick service restaurant at Pixar Place, it was great at breakfast, but I think we al agreed that we thought the food and beverage offerings were better at Disney’s Grand Californian and Disneyland Hotel were significantly superior.

If was staying at Pixar Place as a non-club level guest, I would definitely make sure that I had a plan for breakfast that did not include the Sketch Pad Cafe. Luckily Tangaroa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel is almost on the way to the Downtown Disney security checkpoint, so that’s a nice alternate option. by @ctlvholly

Although Southern California has dozens of amazing experiences to offer, the crown jewel of Orange County really is the Disneyland Resort.

Pixar Place was still receiving its finishing touches when we visited on our 2023 agency retreat, so we were excited to stay here to see how it turned out.

We were greeted with a beautiful seasonal rug leading to the Monsters Inc. doors. The doors opened to make way for the giant Luxo Jr. lobby sculpture. Luxo is so striking that it took some time for my eyes to drift over to the green couch and notice some distinct caterpillar markings…AND little caterpillar feet!!! Omg it’s HEIMLICH!!! Disney had to remove Heimlich’s Choo Choo when A Bug’s Land closed to make way for Avengers’ Campus, so it was great to find him in the a Pixar Place lobby!

Around the corner, you’ll find Joe’s Piano (and occasionally Joe) from Soul and you may encounter roaming characters! You can’t miss the giant art pieces on the walls, but be sure to look at the floor tiles, too, because you just may notice some familiar silhouettes! How many can you find and identify?

Disneyland caps out at a 5-day ticket, so on a Saturday-Saturday trip, you’ve got at least one bonus California day. Between the train station just 4 miles from the Disneyland hotels and the onsite Enterprise car rental at Pixar Place hotel, it’s SO easy to take a little trip to real Southern California.

Maybe it’s San Diego for SeaWorld or the world famous San Diego Zoo/ San Diego Zoo Safari Park or a Padres or Chargers game or Point Loma or Old Town or the Gaslamp Quarter or La Jolla during sea lion season. Or maybe it’s the beach or Legoland in Carlsbad. Or maybe it’s Temecula for wine country and hot air ballooning. This time we checked out SeaWorld and Old Town San Diego’s restaurant scene.

We also did some Orange County exploration, which can include the beach (Seal, Huntington, Newport, Laguna, Dana Point, and my favorite, Crystal Cove), an Angels or Mighty Ducks game (right by the train station), Old Towne Orange, local museums like the Bowers or the Hilbert or the Nixon Presidential Library, fabulous shopping opportunities for luxury brands at South Coast Plaza or for pin collectors at My D Pins & Collectibles, great local attractions like Roger’s Gardens and the Farmhouse restaurant or North Gate Mercado Gonzalez, or even other local theme parks like Knott’s Berry Farm.

You can even drive or take the train to Los Angeles, but I’d need a whole other post to highlight everything LA has to offer…honestly if that area is on your agenda, it’s a really smart choice to do the Adventures by Disney Disneyland & Southern California trip with a few pre-nights to explore LA. That trip will get you into Walt Disney Imagineering, which you can’t do on your own, and it offers a unique tour of Hollywood that you can’t get with any other company. by @ctlvholly
