Wear Orange on September 30! 🧡

Orange Shirt Day is on September 30. We want everyone at CTP to wear an orange shirt!

Why do we wear orange?

To remember Native and Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools long ago.

To care for the families and survivors.

To show that Every Child Matters.

How you can join in:

Wear an orange shirt (or any orange clothes) on September 30.

Take a picture of yourself wearing orange.

Send us your picture so we can share it!

Tell your friends at CTP to wear orange, too. Let's fill CTP with orange on September 30! 🧡 by @ctppdx

Hey everyone!,
You are back and we are SO excited! We got the classrooms ready. We have new things planned. We have people here who are happy to see you walk through that door.
This year is going to be a good one. We really believe that. We want to learn with you, cheer you on, and help you try things you have never tried before. Last year you showed us what you can do. This year we cannot wait to see what comes next. by @ctppdx

On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved people in Texas finally heard that they were free. The law ending slavery had been passed two years before, but the news took time to reach them.

Every year on June 19th, we celebrate Juneteenth to remember that day. We honor Black history, Black culture, and the strength of people who fought for freedom. by @ctppdx
