Before the great summer break of 2026 we were out with @nasa_az for a couple days of racing back in May! Finally getting up some pictures by @jiffy.sen. while I had a incredibly fun weekend, both my inexperience at this track and being plagued by overheating issues I took 5th place one day and 4th the next. We had a strong field of 7 out in ST4 as well. Luckily over the long break I made some changes including dual oil coolers, catless downpipe, and a retune which has already shown to be a great combination for heat management!

Sound on for full context!

With the heat, old tires, and bad lines there were a few instances of my car being unhappy with me. I threw all the highlights into this vid, along with the main race start.

The race itself stratified pretty quick. Everyone mostly held their spots, so no terribly interesting passing from my perspective. Still a great time and great practice! I am trying to get my brake boosting down on race start, needs lots of improvement.

First time running this direction, forgot to watch any videos on how to run this kidney bean. My lines are rather bad, but was still enjoying the flow of the track! A very hot day, the Type-R held strong even during the 25min main race in 98F. HRC TC full cooling kit did the trick. And a trick custom catless downpipe and frontpipe from Chris @velocityracefab

Ended up taking pole in qualifying, losing position to Matt during the quali race. Managed to hold onto 2nd during main race to finish with a solid podium! Happy with the result considering everything. I only slightly regret running dead heat cycled out tires all day, the RC-1s were rather unhappy with the ambient temps. Ok I'm a bit behind, INDE race weekend post coming up. But first this photoset by @jiffy.sen at the @nasa_az event at Radford last month. Hard to pick my favorite picture in this set. Jeff caught that purple just right. It was a fantastic weekend where I finished 4th, AGAIN. Bonehead mistakes losing a few positions during the race almost immediately 😂. But we're slowly getting there, both the car and me as a driver. taken in Radford Racing School by @ctr_crm

Main race start with NASA AZ, ST4 class. Started P2 after two qualifying rounds, ended P4 after I made some driver mistakes. Definitely a huge learning process, I'll be toning the aggressiveness back a bit and focus on looking for opportunities instead of forcing them. A good idea especially still as a Rookie...

Congratulations to @wasko.matt for P1, @danger_technical for P2, and @tyhcl9 for P3!! And special congratulations for @brodywhaas taking P5 and finishing his first w2w race ever.

Love racing with these guys! A lot to learn still, in just about every aspect of the sport 😂 by @ctr_crm

A fantastic photoset by @jiffy.sen. Normally the paddock shot king, snagged some on track bangers! @southwestspeedfest was an absolute blast, it's incredibly fun racing proper with all your friends in such different cars. Can't wait until next year!

Technically the livery reveal post, @em_kranz designed something fantastic! And of course @arizonatintco did an excellent job installing. As always we were finishing everything up last minute so we only roughly 90% finished getting it on, but looks damn good regardless! Thanks to everyone to supports me and this car, always a journey. taken in Podium Club by @ctr_crm

My first weekend in race group, a long journey both as a driver and in developing the Civic. Luckily got to experience it at the 2nd Southwest Speed Festival!

A rough but incredibly eye opening Saturday race where I started in pole, then 20min of overheating my tires and a braking mistake send me deep off track to a 5th place finish. And a very lucky Sunday qualifying race put me back on pole, battled the hell out of Matt barely holding on most the race to finish 1st in ST4 on my debut weekend. Learned a ton, had an absolute blast. A dream weekend really. The ST4 race group is full of awesome guys, incredibly excited to race with them this year.

First post of Southwest Speedfest! This was Saturday Qualifying, my first Qualifying session for my first weekend in Super Touring 4 race group. Ended up qualifying pole for ST4 with a new pb time of 1:41.2. Lap was far from perfect with Kevin and Ty joining me on the straight away run into T1.
Had a good run through the esses and sweeper into the back straight. Car is still bouncy when loaded up, we'll get that sorted out soon enough.
Still terrible on the final corner sequence before the on-straight right hander. Leaving quite a lot on the table here, car has more in it. We'll get there!
