POSTS STORIES REELS
The P’s & Q’’s Podcast host Rainy B (@rainbradles) was invited to be a panelist for a discussion of the screening of the documentary Black Lesbian Life Stories by Janis Hutchinson (@htownfox12) at MATCH Houston (@matchouston). This documentary honored lived experiences, legacy, and the voices that continue shaping the collective future of Black Lesbians. We’d also like to thank the Truth Project (@truthprojecthtx) for inviting us into such a warm and inviting safe space to share our story and to learn from the experiences of those that came before us. 📸: @ctrl.tag by @ctrl.tag

IT AIN’T CHEAP! — EP 002
Saramonic Blink 500B2+ Let’s talk sound. Crisp visuals mean nothing without clean audio, and the Blink 500B2+ makes sure you don’t fumble the bag. This 2-person wireless system is compact, reliable, and packed with features that make it easy to use on the go. 🎤 Best For: * Interviews + podcast-style setups * On-the-go content creators who need mobility * Multi-camera shoots (thanks to dual transmitters) * Recording directly to phone, tablet, or DSLR The charging case powers the mics for up to 20 hours, while the transmitters give you magnetic + clip mounting options. Add in active noise canceling, long range, and adapters for both USB-C and Lightning — and you’ve got a mic kit that works across your entire setup. 💸 The PaperTag: * New (with accessories): $129.99 * Used (with accessories): $64.99 We keep it in rotation because versatility matters — whether you’re recording a sit-down doc interview or grabbing audio at a packed event. 👉 What do you value more in your setup: crispy visuals or clean audio? Drop your answer below. #saramonic #wirelessmicrophone #contentcreation #audiogear by @ctrl.tag
We usually rely on natural light for our sit-downs, but once the sun starts to fade, consistency becomes a challenge. That’s where the OctoDome 3 softbox with a diffuser comes in. This setup gave us:
🌙 Consistent light across long shoots — no matter the time of day.
👥 A softer, more flattering look on skin, perfect for intimate interviews.
🎬 A cinematic polish that keeps the focus on the story without distracting shadows.
👁️ Natural catchlights in the eyes, adding depth and connection on camera.
🛋️ Comfort for our subjects — diffused light feels less harsh, helping them relax into conversation. Lighting isn’t just technical — it shapes mood. For Finding Your Way [HOME], it meant we could carry the same inviting, honest atmosphere from the first question to the last. 💡 Work with a team who makes light a priority — your story deserves it. #FindingYourWayHOME #papertag #ctrltag #eventcoverage #MediaCoverage #editorial #Houston by @ctrl.tag

CAMERA: Canon EOS Rebel T6i Let’s talk tools. The Canon EOS Rebel T6i is a classic starter cam in the content world — and for good reason. It shoots crisp 1080p video, handles low light pretty well, and has a flip-out screen that makes it a go-to for vlogging, interviews, and b-roll on the fly. 📸 Best For: * Sit-down content (interviews, YouTube setups) * Photo shoots with natural light * Behind-the-scenes & event coverage * Entry-level filmmaking + music visuals Whether you’re capturing moments at an art show or filming a friend’s doc-style promo, the T6i gets the job done — especially if you know how to frame and light a shot. 💸 The PaperTag: * New: Around $799 * Used: You can find it for $380 if you’re lucky We keep a few in rotation at CTRL + TAG — not because they’re the fanciest, but because they’re reliable and easy to use for creatives just getting into DSLR work. Book a team who owns their tools. 📦 Next up? We’ll break down lenses. Because yeah, the body is cool — but glass matters. #ctrltag #Papertag #cameras #canoneos #cannon #cannoneosrebelt6i #photography #videography by @ctrl.tag
