Friday 9:51
‎I made a blueprint of the world for the girls who will come after me
‎It was drafted as a love letter to a tree, tracing from the bordered lines on its leaves down to its root
‎It ironically ended as a family of questions
‎And the most important one was why there was no room in time for all of us to exist simultaneously?
‎The present and the future somehow always seem to relate in past tense
‎You cannot sit in the same room at the same age with your grandmother, your mother, yourself, and your future daughters
‎Even when moving toward tomorrow, one's existence is constantly trapped by its precedent
‎It felt like one of those conversations I had to have with God on the couch
‎Barely coherent to make sense and yet sensible enough to confuse the even coherent
‎And so it was, that an overripe apple swayed in the wind, missed my head by a breadth,
‎and landed at my feet
‎It felt forbidden, for the life of me, to listen to it
‎But it said "What if it was all different? Then what?"
‎Perhaps it is best not to know
Perhaps I may regret not falling off this ledge
‎But I Immediately picked up another piece of paper and wrote a message
‎This time, to the girl's mother
‎It was a love letter about being free
‎And telling her that generations later
‎She is
‎In a different bodies
‎
...

“A blueprint of freedom for tomorrow’s daughters” is a piece that simply says every unburdened step we take is an ancestor finally getting to live. And in some way, we set them free. 🌟

Fun fact: it was inspired by a list of prompts I found on Pinterest.

‘Recursion’ is a poem I wrote on the idea that you can never get outside your own mind to verify anything as objectively true. Every attempt to find a real answer just leads back to yourself.

It’s a playful piece that hides the true meaning behind riddles.
