Witnessing this impact has been humbling. 🙏✨
C-Tru wrote and produced “My Spirit Fights On” with Marina, transforming her painful past into a message of courage and truth. Their dream was to bring injustice to light — and today, media in Europe and the U.S. have written about her story, giving a voice to what was once silenced.
…
When the song reached #1 on Amazon Music, Marina said she cried because people are finally listening. Because music is helping her heal — and helping others find their own strength. C-Tru said he felt so blessed with the impact the music was having and expresses his thanks to everyone supporting this project. 💛
…
This is what music is meant to do.

Award winning rapper/songwriter C-Tru knew from the very start that “My Spirit Fights On” would be something extraordinary. Created in collaboration with Marina — who survived abuse in an Austrian children’s home — the song carries a raw and unshakable truth.

Written from her perspective, the track turns personal trauma into universal truth. Marina shares how powerful it was to work with C-Tru, who understood her story and brought her message to life. For her, the song is more than music — it’s a part of her.

What makes the song so transformative is the collaboration itself: a music artist and a survivor coming together to turn pain into purpose. This is music with a mission — exposing injustice, raising awareness of child abuse, and offering hope to survivors who refuse to let their spirit be broken.

If you know anything about hip-hop history, you know this magazine, The Source. It’s literally the HIP-HOP bible. Its captured all the most important events in rap history and has covered the legends like Tupac, Snoop, DMX, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar and more.

So to be featured on @thesource is an honor. They covered a recent song I released called “My Spirit Fights On” and the story behind it. It’s music with meaning for an important project with @marinas.mission

I appreciate everyone who’s been rocking with me, believing in the vision. This is proof that hard work and passion pays off. This is just the beginning. by @ctru.music

Thankful for the media attention this song is getting and so proud to have my music used for such a meaningful mission! The purpose of this song is to raise awareness for those suffering or who have suffered from child abuse.

For far too long victims have been silenced. The message of our song is clear, we will continue to ‘Fight On’ for those who cannot; you are not alone. We appreciate any help spreading this story and the message so we can continue to reach and help more people. We’re very grateful for everyone’s support!

“My Spirit Fights On”: A survivor’s song for change

This is one of the most important projects I’ve ever been apart of. I met @marinas.mission 2 years ago and she courageously opened up to me about the horrific abuse she suffered as a child growing up in a foster home. Even after reporting these atrocities to the authorities and trying for many years to press charges against her abusers and the foster home she was denied. But she will not be kept silent anymore!

This song is an autobiographical account of what she went through and how she overcame her trauma. We hope that by sharing her truth to the world in this song that we can inspire those suffering from similar traumas to speak up and tell their stories and find healing. I’m so proud that my music can be a platform for positive change.

It’s a message, a movement, and a mission. By streaming and sharing, you’re helping us spread hope and support children in need. Together, we can make an impact!

Here’s how you can help:
✔️ Stream it on your favorite platform.
✔️ Share the song with your friends and family.
✔️ Let the world know: Your spirit can fight on!

💬 Comment below: What does “My Spirit Fights On” mean to YOU? We can’t wait to hear your stories.

Thank you for being part of this journey. This is just the beginning.
