Recently, CUEMS had the privilege of volunteering at some events for Mental Health Week, hosted by @custudentgov!
Our EMTs instructed students in performing hands-only CPR at the Narcan and CPR training alongside @endoverdose.boulder and provided Wellness Ambassador standby services at the Mental Health 5K, held in collaboration with @ifconthehill. We are so proud to help continue this important tradition! Thank you for having us, CU Student Government, and thanks to everyone who volunteered! 🚑🚨

📢Our first monthly General Membership Meeting is this Sunday (9/14) at 5 PM in UMC 247! 🚑🚨

This meeting is for all current and prospective members, and will have a similar structure to our monthly meetings held last year (previously named Town Halls). We will be sharing lots of important information regarding recent changes in our organization’s development and what exciting things we have in store for this semester! Information will be provided on the many different ways to get involded, including opportunities to work events as a volunteer Wellness Ambassador or paid EMT.

Please try your best to attend this meeting, as we will be sharing critical information for next semester!

Welcome back!

We are so grateful for the opportunity to have helped out at the Elevations Credit Union Boulder Bicycle Classic, the biggest scholarship fundraising cycling event in Boulder, this past Sunday. Our members volunteered at aid stations along the route in a Wellness Ambassador capacity.

We are incredibly happy and grateful to announce that this Spring, CUEMS was recognized with the Student Organization of the Year Award at the annual CU Involvement Awards Ceremony hosted by the Center for Student Involvement and the Colorado Creed. This award recognizes CUEMS for outstanding leadership, demonstrating active involvement, and encouraging positive change on campus, leaving a lasting impact

We want to thank CSI for recognizing us and extend our deepest gratitude to our professional board, executive board, directors, BLS instructors, members, and advisors for all the hard work you’ve put into growing CUEMS into the organization and community it is today. Congratulations Seniors!
We’re so grateful for all the incredible contributions you’ve made to CUEMS, the countless hours you’ve put in, and the unforgettable moments we’ve had together. Though we’re sad to see you go, we know you’re heading towards amazing things.

Special shoutouts to our graduating executive board members,
- Isabella Tersini, our very first VP of Clinical Operations, has helped build CUEMS from the ground up. From setting up our clinical systems for EMT and Wellness Ambassador standby events, to launching the shadowing programs with Dr. Olliff and Stadium Medical, and throwing AWESOME events (including our first two end-of-year banquets and many other fun social events), she has provided so many opportunities to our members.
- Matthew Wenzivsky, our inaugural VP of Community Education, whose passion for community outreach and education has left a lasting legacy, such as solidifying our CPR training program and teaching hundreds of students hands-only CPR during Mental Health Week, he has given so many members of the CUEMS community access to medical education.
- Ben Resen-Davidson, our first Member at Large, has done so much to represent our members and make sure they feel supported and heard. Thank you so much!

From club meetings, stop the bleed classes, and seemingly endless bylaws meetings, you have made a huge impact on CUEMS, and we are so sad to see you go. You have been true mentors, leaders, role models, and friends to CUEMS members, and we are going to miss you more than we can say🖤💛
