S.C.O.P.E is getting ready for our Spring 2026 volunteering!

Volunteering will happen at two different schools in the area: Timberline K-8 and Blackrock Elementary.

This semester, volunteers will be teaching the chemistry, biology, and microscopy curricula to students.

Please sign up for a volunteer shift on CU Serves! You can sign up for multiple shifts or just one! If a shift you are available for is full, sign up for the waitlist! Cancellations happen.

To sign up, please go to the CU Serves website and log in with your IdentiKey. From there, you will be able to search for S.C.O.P.E and will see an event titled “S.C.O.P.E 2026 Spring Outreach”.

This page has more information on training dates, carpool sign ups, and shift dates and times.

Reach out if you have any questions!

FALL 2025 Alternative Careers to Academia

WHEN/WHERE: Mondays 5:05-6:20 pm
CASE E240

*the last 20 min or so is for people who would like to hang out and chat
further with the speaker!

This course features weekly guest speakers, with degrees ranging from bachelor’s through postdoctoral training prior to leaving academia. For many, their career paths have little to do with the degree(s) earned.

Join us to explore their life stories and advice to people starting out – a great opportunity to ask them everything you want to know about finding and getting the jobs you’ll love!

Stay tuned! We will post a story introducing the speaker the morning before their presentation! taken in Center for Academic Success and Engagement by @cubiochemistry
