This quilt felt like it took forever , but was completed with love amd care. Its already at its home ...somewhere in the USA.

Exhibition Alert!
Cuddle Quilts is going to participate in the exhibition organised by Maharashtra Seva Sangh, Airoli branch. Early this year I exhibited my products with them at their Mulund branch , and it was an awesome experience as a stall holder and a general audience. Their metaculous planning and arrangements were to the point. Which makes me worry less about how everything will be and focus more on my production part.

Many people often ask me , being a Science ( Zoology tbs) how come you become a quilter?
Or something like since when are you doing quilts?
Its a bit difficult for me to answer this question coz it started in bits for me.
My 1st patchwork happened when i was about 14 or 15.
Then the one in this image with my boy and my mom...this one I mad post just after 4 days of my delivery in March 2012. Made kne more , cant find a pic though.My aunt finished it up for me as a new mom I was bot suppose to do any intense work.
But ya..thats my 1st patwork from scraps collected from.my Tailor of my dress pieces. Which i long saved for my baby.
Tbh we didnt have any preps made ( as in Indian culture we dont prep before hand) , my mom was busy with me pregnancy and at the same time ny father was struggling with GIST, last stage. So it was too much to so and expect from any aswell.
However me and my son were lucky to get many small quilts from many of relatives ( my mami's parents, my mother in law's sister , they gifted us crib size quilts ) and still cgerish them as fond memories.

Not sure if my 1st patchwork will count as the begining of my journey or the one i made for my son.
None the less I am kn the quilt journey now and I feel and believe this is my happy place❤️🧿😍 by @cuddle_quilts

Every Parent feels the same like the father in the song!
Irrespective of the gender of the child...kids just grow fast and we have a pile of mountains pf their out grown clothes sitting and occupying space not only in the cupboard but our hearts too🥹
Now tje solution to this is either let them sit idle in the cupboard or send them to Cuddle Quilts ( Mumbai) so those precious memories can be cherished forever and you can share stories wirh your kids 😍💫

Hassel with Wefast/Borzo

I use @borzo.mx @borzowefast.in often for my bussiness courriers. Amd never had issues.
However today was different.
This guy named Piyish Singh, not sure which world was he in? Gave me a difficult time for a short distance delivery today.
Wouldn't have given him a single star, but the system wasnt acceoting my feedback without that!

Handwork is unique and it needs your patience and my time to finish the project.
Stitching this beauty since more than a week now.
Missed my deadline , but will keep going to ensure I do justice to my work and not just finish it to wrap it up by @cuddle_quilts

Just like the song, i learnt step by step!
Did a hand stitched piece after almost 3 decades!
My childhood memories just remind me how I use to help the adult ladies ( they would call it interferance☹️ ) while stitching godhadi.
Well now I got to do 2 whole pieces without any and anyones intereance🤣
The client wanted neat and staright stitches. So my jugadu dimaag started thinking
For uniform stitches , the first method i came up with was using a used note page ( thanks to my Son to be generous to offer me one from his notebook🤣🧿).
However that was not durable and practical.
Then we had a discussion in my quilting group.
And I would like to thanks @poduvalshreedevi of @shreesquiltdecor , she shared this idea of using paper tape. And God know how easy my life had become.
Sometimes it good to be open to accept that you need help. And its always good to have a bunch of friends with a common hobby and intrest😍🥰🧿🪬

In my previous post I mentioned about some 😍😍😍 dresses stitched by Pannah aunty as a part of my order. And you. An what a marvellous job she has done😍🪬🧿

Also the grand announcement...Its a Boy!😃
Which is so obvious from the clothes stitched.
Soon these beauties will fly to USA .
