Live a life, that is worth 📷 There is this very moment. Make it count. Love. Discover.
Please help Nicole. It’s my only post that matters.

POSTS STORIES REELS

I had a different post set up for today. But this is so important, that I quickly get you to know Nicole, Cody, and Luis. Nicole and Cody‘s dad was the one adult in my youth, that taught me the mental and life skills that got me to today. My friend Jackie and I started working very young, me at 13. Very naïve, and subject to adult exposures that we were blind too. Luis was my boss. During that time he taught Jackie and I to run a marathon, Bay to Breakers. For a physically sick girl, later in life, what I gain mentally from this, became my healing touch stone for both my mind and body. He exposed me to nature, the need to protect others in society, and sheltered us from the ugly in the world. Luis went quiet a few weeks ago. And I learned this is a sign, of ones that never ask for help. He taught me this lesson. And it made me strong. Made me survive. But a new lesson is that it is ok, and imperative to ask for help at times in your life. It’s the one value we have inside all of us, to reach out and support and help, in times of need. Nicole and Cody, are the finest young souls. With such respect and gratitude to nature, animals, and every person in our society. They give truthfully and selflessly to this world and to life. Please help in anyway you can, from emotional support, assistance, and to sharing their story. Please! I, ask for help.

Marty was the most unique individual I ever met, with the most gigantic heart. One year on my birthday she wanted to celebrate, and I told her that’s not something I do. She turned around and said it’s not your birthday, it’s your birthday week. She proceeded to bake me a cake from scratch, for each of the next seven days. My favorite was the Daffodil cake, I had never seen anything like it. I had never known anyone like her. She also had me in her kitchen out in the country, when she lined the floor with newspapers, and flour was flying in the air like fairy dust, and she tossed the eggshells over her shoulders, onto the floor. Singing, smiling, chatting and dancing the entire time. Music and the enchanting smells, enveloped and held me.
I lost Marty, to multiple sclerosis. She resided in a different world, I could not find passage to, she traveled further and further, for longer than a decade. I lost her this time, finally as she went (dancing and swirling, in my mind’s eye) on her way to the Kingdom. I will miss her so, till I see her again.
In lieu of flowers and sorrows, be encouraged by Marty, her commitment to living fully real, and do something that Marty did, or someone you knew, loved and lost, and incorporate more of it into your own life. Line your driveway with daffodils. Bake a cake for a friend. Eat your favorite See’s candy unapologetically. Take an impromptu free day; go to the rodeo, an art show, a film festival, a midnight movie (or all of the above). Take photographs of everything that moves you, so you can keep those moments alive within. Love unabashedly. Try a new type of food. Go skinny-dipping. Pursue a dream. Persevere with abandon. Help a friend in need. Crank up your favorite song or album and dance in your living room just because. Most of all, encourage and love the square pegs in your life, who, like Marty, make life richer when you let them in.

Thank you 2021. I have surrendered, to me. But, look toward being a better, bigger, brighter Christine. Hello 2022, can’t wait to meet you.
“I've been waiting
I've been waiting for this moment all my life
but it's not quite right
and this 'real'
it’s impossible if possible
at whose blind word
so clear but so unheard.”

I got a bad eye. I’m messy, but mean no harm. I NEED to be outdoors. Music plays in my head ALL of the time. I find everything is so interesting. Maybe I look for meaning in things, too much. But, me. Oh, and I love to relate. Even in differences. ❤️

Sweets for the sweet. my dad loved brownies, and pecan pie. He would have loved these. Mostly because I was his sweetie pie daughter.
Great mash up, and I had to give them out or I’d have devoured them with no self control. 😂

The band The Cars, never had a number one song on the top 100 Billboard Charts.🤯
Their song Drive, reached no. 3.

On the sub charts, You Might Think, and Drive reached no. 1.
Even more mind blowing, though Ric Ocasek was the lead on most songs Drive was sung by Benjamin Orr.

I am a stargazer, star chaser. I am a ponderer.

I look up to the galaxies, and I see and feel a gazillion things inside.

In all of my amazement, I never thought about, isolated, what my North Star is.

That is, this is, my tragicomedy.

But I’m not too overwrought with sadness. I like to hitch myself to shooting stars.

It’s OK to investigate and take in all the different areas of possibility. I am always going to do this.

The North Star is fixed. And it’s a symbol of stability, safety, and emotional grounding during confusing or hard times.

I kind of feel my North Star, is a combination of the stars in my life. The beautiful and kind people who show me examples, of how they navigate good and bad times. How they shine their light on and for me.

Well, that’s my thoughts today. I don’t have a picture of the stars, because I haven’t taken my camera out to catch the Milky Way in too long.

But I have a picture of the waves. And all I can say is let it roll with you, baby, and keep shining your love lights on each other.

The phrase “out of the woods” means that someone has successfully emerged from a period of danger, difficulty, or illness.

In my mind and my heart and soul, “INTO the woods” is my safety, my healing.

Been sick before. And never shared when it was real time. Also, never admitted out loud to anyone I was scared. I’m working on this, and I want to ask your forgiveness for those times I go silent.

Well, I got surprised. And was hospitalized on the 15th. And, I was scared. Very much so. See? Working on it!

But sing along with me -

“I’ve been looking at the sky
‘Cause it’s gettin’ me high
Forget the hearse ‘cause I never die
I got nine lives
Cat’s eyes
Abusin’ every one of them and running wild.” AC/DC

In the last weeks, I couldn’t take any liquids or nourishment on my own for 9 days. And it’s been a trial still. I was put on diluadid. (I HATE drugs). I couldn’t stand for more than 15 minutes each day. And my body had completely shut down. But, by the grace of time, that sky and those trees and the wind calling out to me, and pulling me, (granted it took me a LOT of time) but I was able to walk 4 miles today. Aside from my brain, being pretty wonky, as my body and mind are trying to work together again. I’m feeling superduper.

I’m pretty pleased with this ridiculous selfie. It shows I had to sit down in order to keep going. But, when I look at it, I feel life, and that’s pretty. You know? And I think I’m gonna take more opportunity to just sit there and take in the view, after all, all we have is time right?

Sometimes I feel I was just born in the wrong time. However, I could just be in the wrong place.

My dad liked Soba noodles, mom Udon. I like Hiyamugi 冷麦. These noodles are somewhere between somen and udon. Kind of like thin American spaghetti size.

I usually eat these noodles with a cold dipping sauce. It’s my go to in hot weather.

But Mom wanted kake udon so thats what I made. She got hers in her “udon” bowl. I had mine in my style, but at my house, in my American bowl, not in front of her. You just don’t do that.

Love. To completely be able to give yourself, to trust in another’s benevolence. To rely without fear, that you have a place in their warmth, with your whole vulnerability. Unquestionably.
That’s the way it should be. This is the way I strive to love, to be loved.
Maybe this is a high bar. I 100% disclose, and expose, that I am messy,
encompass beyond even my imagination, sometimes, the grandest juvenile humor within. My thoughts, my emotions, are so divergent, often within the very same moment. But I must say they are usually, brimming with exalted joy and wonder, curiosity. Hence, I might emotionally feel like crying at the same moment. Because, doesn’t it feel like the greatest gift possible, to feel? I love goosebumps on my arms. I love, how my heart beats like thunder when I am surprised. I love that, I get the deepest crinkle lines at the side of my eyes when I involuntarily find myself smiling so wide so deeply, my chipmunk cheeks look as though they are storing nuts. Now that’s a good analogy for a gal, that is nutz.
Anyhow. I just wish for you all, to know and have a place, a person, even if it’s just within yourself as you look in the mirror. That says you are loved 100%. You are exceptional, unique, you are special.
I love you.

Non, rien de rien
Non, je ne regrette rien
Ni le bien qu’on m’a fait
Ni le mal
Tout ça m’est bien égal
Non, rien de rien
Non, je ne regrette rien
C’est payé, balayé, oublié
Je me fous du passé
Avec mes souvenirs
J’ai allumé le feu
Mes chagrins, mes plaisirs
Je n’ai plus besoin d’eux
Balayé les amours
Avec leurs trémolos
Balayé pour toujours
Je repars à zéro
Non, rien de rien
Non, je ne regrette rien
Ni le bien qu’on m’a fait
Ni le mal
Tout ça m’est bien égal
Non, rien de rien
Non, je ne regrette rien
Car ma vie
Car mes joies
Aujourd’hui
Ça commence avec toi
