CUE RHYTHM Mix Series 006: Yevhen Petrenko (@yevhen.petrenko.dj)

Yevhen Petrenko is a DJ and producer from Kyiv, Ukraine.
His musical journey began in the late ‘90s and early 2000s, inspired by the Schranz and Hard Techno nights at Kyiv’s legendary Cinema club a venue that played a significant role in shaping the European underground scene. These early influences laid the foundation for his sound, which has since evolved through the work of artists such as Swedish House Mafia, Benny Benassi, Dusty Kid, Stephan Bodzin, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, early Tale of Us, and Ruede Hagelstein.
Yevhen began his DJ career in 2012, gradually developing a distinctive approach to storytelling through his sets, blending the driving energy of classic techno with a modern sonic aesthetic. In 2019, he founded the IC4T collective, curating events in unconventional venues across Kyiv and building a strong local community around the project.
Now based in Hamburg, Germany, Yevhen is a resident of DANS Collective. His current musical focus is Hard Groove Techno: energetic, groove-driven, and hypnotic — reflecting both the raw spirit of early rave culture and its contemporary evolution.
