Every kid has asked this. Here’s how a Cuemath coach answers.

My little sous chef Abir halved the whole recipe tonight. ¾ cup? “That’s 6/8, so half is ⅜!” 🍝

Your kid spent seven hours at school today. You’ll probably hear about seven seconds of it.

It’s not because they don’t want to share. After a full day of focusing, following rules, and figuring things out, a question as wide as “How was your day?” is genuinely hard to answer. So they reach for the shortest reply they have.

The fix isn’t asking more often. It’s asking better. The right question can tell you what clicked, what didn’t, and what quietly made them proud, all in a two-minute chat.

Two kids. One coach. And a long list of questions she can’t turn back on them.

If your child has a Cuemath coach, you know how it goes. Every question gets answered with another question. It’s how kids learn to think for themselves. It’s also, apparently, very annoying.

So we let two students flip it. Over the next few videos, our Cuemath Coach answers everything they throw at her, from childhood confessions to rapid-fire math to the one question that caught her off guard.

The hardest part of parenting sometimes is knowing when to step in and when to let your child figure things out on their own.

When my son gets stuck on a Math problem, my first instinct is to help. But I am learning that giving him a little more time to think can be more helpful than giving him the answer.

That is one thing I appreciate about his Cuemath classes. He has the same coach every session, and she asks questions that help him understand why a formula works, not just memorize it.

And when I see him try a different approach and work through a problem on his own, honestly, that feels just as important as getting the right answer.
