If you know, you know what an amazing oasis Cottonwood Urban Farm is!

In addition to our open farm days on Saturdays, community events, and partner programs, CUF is available for rentals and fields trips! We've hosted everything from corporate team building events, theatre and comedy nights , birdthday parties, film shoots, and weddings! Plus, we've welcomed all sorts of schools and students for hands-on educational field trips.

As you look at the year ahead, let us know if CUF can help with your next event or program! Email rentals@cufarm.org for Rentals or Fieldtrips@cufarm.org for Field Trips. We look forward to seeing you at the farm this year!

A dinner rooted in place.

Tucked into the Tujunga Wash basin, Cottonwood Urban Farm (@cufarm) is a setting that makes you pause and reconsider what a farm can be in Los Angeles. What began as a small idea on a dusty patch of land in a part of LA defined by concrete and asphalt has evolved into a lively space for growing food, sharing knowledge, and bringing people together.

I spent a late summer evening there photographing dinner—ducks wandering through the farm, fresh duck eggs, chilled melon soup, artisan sourdough, smoked peaches, and a table full of food that felt deeply connected to where we were sitting - a little piece of farmland in the middle of LA, doing something beautiful. 🌿

September is ending, and so is the last summer harvest. Basking (burning, haha) in the sun preparing the soil beds for the fall season while making the best out of the zinnias in a nice empty tequila bottle as a vase. It feels nice connecting with Mother Earth, learning how the closed cycle must be. From seed to harvest, food scraps and plant cuttings to compost. It's also a way to learn where our food comes from. 🫶🏼🌻😌🌽😸🌶🙌🏼🍓
