This little herd spends most mornings with us. It looks like one young buck and several yearlings? Are they fallow deer do you think? A little bachelor party as it were? 🥰 taken in County Sligo by @cuiltybarhouse

Early autumn is harvest season for the fruit growing here at Cuiltybar House. We haven’t planted anything ourselves yet, wanting to spend a year getting to know the property and see what was already here first. Blackberries, raspberries, mulberries, plums, apples, and chestnuts abound, though the apples are the only thing really delivering so far. I used the blackberries to make blackberry vinegar which makes a fantastic salad dressing, or tangy shrub. To make a shrub, just mix a bit of the vinegar with some sparkling water for a refreshing beverage. This is our favorite time of year, and were so grateful to be discovering it here at Cuiltybar House. #fall #homestead #georgian #Irishcountryhome #manorhouse taken in County Sligo by @cuiltybarhouse

Wrong tile on the wall?! No, just a trick of the light waking me up faster than a pot of coffee poured down my throat. The way light bounces around the room can fully make things appear to be a completely different colour. It’s an amazing watching the tile change colour when I move it from one wall to the next. Everything will even out when we have the new paint and lighting in the bathroom. Trust the process, stay the course. Check out our YouTube channel to watch us fix up our 300 year old Georgian home in the west of Ireland. We have so much to do. There’ll be plenty to see. Absolute chaos over here at Cuiltybar House. We have a mad push for the next few weeks to prepare for our next round of house guests! I explained in our last YouTube video why I’m doing things out of order, if you’re curious, head on over and have a watch of that one, also, New video out this Sunday over there! #sligowhoknew #sligo #ireland #georgianhouse #homerenovation by @cuiltybarhouse

We know it’s going to be a long process to restore this Georgian home, I wish we could do some of the work this fast! We’ll keep plugging away though. taken in County Sligo by @cuiltybarhouse

I make no apologies for my very basic autumnal affinities.

Time to pick a paint color! We’re choosing between a cooler, more blue toned green (Bofin Fern) and a warmer, more yellow based green (Electric Pickle). They both suit the tiles and trying not to choose on name alone is challenging 🥒- which would you choose? #fleetwoodprestige @fleetwood_paints by @cuiltybarhouse

Feels good to be past the messy grout stage , especially this inky black stuff that gets EVERYWHERE. We now have a fully functional shower. It’s been a longer road than expected to get here, but, here we are. What a beautiful place to wash off all the grime from the never ending diy projects here at Cuiltybar house. #georgianarchitecture #sligowhoknew #ireland #dıy #showertile by @cuiltybarhouse

Turns out the tree that my plant ID app told me was a mulberry tree and I pooh poohed its accuracy, is in fact a mulberry. But the fruit is - kind of covered in little moldy bits? Is that normal? Mulberry newbie over here.
The flies sure like the fruit; no sign of weasels or monkeys as of yet. taken in County Sligo by @cuiltybarhouse
