Huge shout out to @nrlhunter @roughcreek_lodge @defiancemachine and @crazycrowgunworks @kriegerbarrels I shot my first NRL hunter 2-day match this weekend as a skills shooter and it was amazing. Everyone was welcoming, and gave me as much help as they could to help me get on targets. I didn't shoot well, but I learned a ton and had a blast doing it. I brought a factory hunting rifle to the match as it was the only rifle I had and I wanted to try it out. I ended up having my barrel heat up to the point where it baked the bluing off after day 1. I ended up telling the match director @rich_emmons about it on day 2 as just a look at the crazy thing that happened. At the awards banquet he ended up calling me up and giving me this Defiant anTi X with a krieger barrel turned and installed by Collin at crazy crow gun works. I wish I had a picture of me receiving it, but that should be on the nrl page soon. Again I can't say enough about how grateful I am for this and I can't wait to get the rest of the parts for this and start shooting it. Side note, I tried to get a picture of the barrel and action in a single picture, but I was unable to figure out a way to take a picture that had the barrel and action in the picture where it didn't look weirdn so I apologizeto everyoneinvolvedin giving me this amazing barreled action for that. #NRLHunter #NRLHunterTEAMS #TopTeam #HuntersRevenge by @culbersoncollin

Got to meet a couple of the guys that make some of the best hunting content out there @joel_bo_jones and @wadeshoemaker and had a couple of really cool conversations with them before getting to go out and have an awesome hunt with my dad and sister @drycreekoutfitters this morning. Can't wait to do it again tomorrow! by @culbersoncollin

Started out dove season right at @drycreekoutfitters with my dad and @lexicson this morning. Finished with a 3 man limit of whitewings in about an hour of shooting. Also made it into @dalebrisby Instagram story without even realizing it was him until I saw it on here. by @culbersoncollin

This morning, @keithmeyerofficial and I scratched out a few birds. There may not be many birds here, but I was lucky enough to harvest my first mottled duck, and Keith was able to harvest both his first mottled duck and first pintail. #publiclandhunting #duckhunting #pintail #mottledduck #wigeon #bluewingteal #southtexas by @culbersoncollin

Had a great day with new and old friends. I got my first cinnamon teal, @huntertorres18 got a band, and we got a 4 man limit on highly pressured public land. #duckhunting #southtexas #publiclandhunting #limits #texasduckhunting #berettashotguns #berettausa by @culbersoncollin

Great way to start the 2020-2021 duck season, though dehydration and not eating enough is not a great combination. Hopefully there is plenty more good hunts with friends new and old as the season progresses. #duckhunting #southtexas #limits #berettashotguns #kentammo #openingday2020 #publiclandhunting by @culbersoncollin
