🏆 IVY LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 🤺

Congratulations to Men’s and Women’s Fencing, who put a fine point on winning dual Ivy League Championships! The double victories mark the 13th time the Lions have won both men’s and women’s titles in the same season. Roar Lion Roar!

🎤 In the fast-paced world of collegiate fencing, it’s easy to overlook the quieter pillars of athletic excellence — but when Columbia’s coaches step up to the mic, it’s not just a performance. It’s a masterclass. 🎶 Singing and rapping build the very foundations of effective communication — breath support, projection, and crisp articulation — so that every split-second instruction cuts through the noise. 📣 Equally transformative is the confidence it takes to commit fully, “LOCK IT IN” 🔒 emblazoned across the chest, modeling the very mindset coaches ask of their athletes: embrace the discomfort and perform under pressure. 💪🔥 Let’s not forget rhythm 🥁 — the ability to internalize a beat and strategically break it mirrors the delicate interplay of distance and tempo that defines elite-level bouting. ⚔️🎯 Ultimately, it’s a testament to the culture of Columbia Fencing itself 💙🤍 — a program that takes excellence seriously, without taking itself too seriously. 😄 In the end, it’s not just about singing or rapping — it’s about building a team that’s ready to lock it in 🔒, on and off the strip. 🤺🦁💯 taken in Columbia University by @culionsfencing
