Greetings all. We are sad to report that @culled.ca will be unable to play this incredible show tonight due to an injury our drummer has suffered to one of his arms. We don't take canceling shows lightly so, we'd like to express our sincere apologies to @capitalhcshows and all of the bands for having to bow out.
Please join us in wishing @shutdownsound a speedy recovery and feel free to come say hi to some of us who will be there tonight to show support! by @culled.ca

@culled.ca music wasn’t interested in staying at one speed.

At The Palace Theatre on June 13, 2026, suffocating doom passages could suddenly erupt into grindcore chaos before collapsing back into something slow and punishing. Underneath the sheer weight was a politically charged band with something to say, delivered through furious vocals and a remarkably tight rhythm section.

Opening for Napalm Death felt particularly appropriate.

Slow. Crushing. Suddenly violent.

@culled.ca opened The Palace Theatre in Calgary on June 13, 2026 by weaponizing the contrast at the heart of their sound. The Edmonton band dragged enormous sludge and doom riffs through bursts of frantic grindcore, while Shane Hawco’s vocals hit with an intensity that immediately changed the temperature of the room.

This wasn’t an opener easing anyone into the night.

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the passing of Tomas Lindberg, a man whose legacy stretches across both metal and punk, having fronted At The Gates, Grotesque, The Great Deceiver, Disfear, The Crown, Skitsystem, and the grindcore supergroup Lock Up. Today, Canadian sludge‑soaked grind unit @culled.ca is paying tribute to Lindberg’s influence on them by covering the Disfear track “Deadweight.”
