well well well, emmanuel. our time is over. It’s actually the time where I get my degree. did I ever think photography was going to be what I wanted to do. not really, I always liked taking photos but never thought about doing professionally until I was welcomed to the world of professional photography and just learning how to make money off doing it and knowing that a career with it could be mine. I wasn’t really good at math, didn’t understand science, didn’t understand aristotle and all those philosophers. But the one thing i was good at was taking pictures of people and having them tell me they love it or like it. I know type this today to call myself a photographer. Yes i am now officially a photographer. I smile everytime i get to do so. I don’t want that 9-5 office job, I strived for something different because I knew my personality was too big for that cubicle. I always knew I was creative from the moment I watched the little mermaid and saw how mermaids swam in the ocean. So being creative means I get to be me. I am so happy to be an artist, although this college wasnt the best for making the art department feel seen (sorry no shade) but It felt like a small community and thats why I ended up really enjoying being a part of the little 5th art floor. to all my fellow art ppl here, im so excited for our journeys and how our art grows beyond emmanuel, it was so awesome getting to know and see your work grow im truly so happy to call you a little family
to my professors, you were amazing obviously I would not graduate if it werent for you giving me a passing grade ;) no im not a grade a student and thats okay what did i still do GET THAT DEGREE! so thank you I had the best time sitting in class and gaining all this knowledge that will help me in future endeavors.
to the doctors who said I couldn’t do it, LOOK AT ME NOWWW! you said with my adhd diagnosis that I, Cullen Gardner, would not be able to go college let alone graduate from it. My parents already know that without their support I would not be the gay photographer I am standing today. love you guys 😘

i never want the fun to stop! THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF THE START!!! I want to appreciate everyone that has been with me at at emmanuel thru good and bad times. I truly cannot believe it’s been four years of discovering that photography is truly the best thing that i can do, especially since i’m not great with math. I am so blessed to have girlfriends like you all by my side supporting me through said times Inwpuld be nothing without my girls and I’m sorry that instagram restricts only to 20 photos but just know every single one of you holds a place in my art I truly am so thankful for my experience here. it has taught me a lot with maturing, realizing what i want to do, learning and making plenty of mistakes, taking advice and using it and sometimes not, making my own yellow brick road to follow. I would not be here without you. thank you for being part of this massive journey and stepping stone in my life. to my all my girls LETS PARTY SND CHEERS BEACHESSSS by @cullengardnerr
