The time I shot for a swimsuit magazine and the editor wanted to use this for the cover he already promised to another model. 😬 The whole thing caused so much drama I got scrapped from the entire issue 😆 Not how I cause trouble just by existing 💋👹❤️‍🔥

Hallo Babes!! Here is Part 03 of my Friday the 13th Camp Crystal Lake sign build! ❤️‍🔥

It’s Friday the 13th come on, of course there have to be like 87 parts to this series 😆 Today I’m base coating the sign with the yellow color, which is actually a mixture of 3 different shades of yellow and also a combination of pure paint and a wash (which is just paint mixed with water 💦)

I go super random with this, which gives the signs their unique shading and also a bit of a weathered look!

And then this is the part where we trust the process 😬 because this initial sketching looks like absolute whoopty doo when I’m finished 💀 but all I’m going for is a rough outline so I’ll know where to paint in the details!

I use template pieces (or masters) that I’ve made and then position and trace them with graphite paper. This gives each sign a pretty uniform placement for the lettering and lake graphic at the bottom and also - when I have orders for multiple signs at once - this totally speeds up the process of getting them into paint!

Hallo Babes!! Here is Part 02 of my Friday the 13th Camp Crystal Lake sign build! ❤️‍🔥

Today I am cutting the support timbers, which is how I secure the four individual pieces of the sign together! I use a pressure treated 1x6 and cut it into two pieces - 17” x 1.5”

Then I sand the scroll cut edges to clean up any rough bits and also the sides that I cut with the mitre saw!

Afterward, I screw the support timbers onto the back of the sign using drywall screws with equal spacing on either side! I also use wood glue but that part comes later! 🤫

Hallo Babes! I got a ton of new orders for my Camp Crystal Lake signs that I make, so I thought 🤔 let me do a video and I can bring you guys along for the ride! ❤️‍🔥

In this first part, I’m measuring and cutting the timbers to size with the mitre saw, then I’m assembling them to fit together on top of each other with as little space as possible between the boards! 🪵

Then I’m tracing the template for the scroll cuts at the top and bottom of the sign and banging with the jigsaw baby! 💪🏽💦

Making that top center cut in one continuous piece is always the complete fulfillment of my life 😆

Stay tuned for Part 02 where we unlock sanding, assembly and paint!! 🎉🎨

And I filmed this over the course of two days, that’s why I’m wearing two different tops 🤫 you saw noooothing!!
