Yes, I’m a nail tech. But before I’m a nail tech, I’m a human being.

A person with people to love, a body to take care of, a life to live, memories to make, and a million little things that make me who I am outside of what I do for a living.

I have dreams that have nothing to do with my business. I have relationships that deserve my time and presence. I have a body that needs rest, a mind that needs peace, and a life that I don’t want to spend so busy building that I forget to actually live it.

Somewhere along the way, I think we’ve become so accustomed to measuring ourselves by what we produce, what we achieve, and how much of ourselves we’re willing to give away that we forget we’re allowed to just be.

To rest. To say no. To have a bad day. To put ourselves first. To be a whole, complicated, ever-changing person outside of our jobs, our responsibilities, and the things other people know us for.

My business is a part of my life, not the entirety of it. And as much as I love what I do, there are things that will always matter more to me than my work ever could.

I want to build a business that allows me to live a beautiful life, not one that leaves me too exhausted to enjoy it.

So, if you’re here for the nails, I’m so glad you’re here. But I hope you stick around to get to know the human behind them, too. 🤍
