Who should avoid cupping:

- *Pregnant* — especially on abdomen + lower back.
- *Blood thinners or bleeding disorders* — marks + bruising risk is higher.
- Open wounds, sunburn, or skin infections* — cups go on healthy skin only.
- Severe heart conditions* — suction affects circulation.
- Cancer patients* — avoid directly over tumors or during chemo/radiation.
- High fever or convulsions* — body is already under stress.
- Severe edema* — too much fluid buildup makes suction unsafe.
- Children under 4* — their skin is too delicate.
- Varicose veins or DVT*

Cupping is powerful but not for everyone. When in doubt, check with your doctor first.

Dry Cupping - AfterCare

- Hydrate like crazy*: Water helps flush out what the cups released.
- Keep it warm*: No cold showers, swimming, or AC blasting on marks for 4-6 hrs.
- Skip the gym*: No intense workouts for 24 hrs. Let your body recover.
- Don’t pick at marks*: They’ll fade on their own in 3-7 days. No scrubbing.
- Moisturize gently*: Use castor oil, coconut oil or arnica cream to soothe skin.
- Rest up*: Your body just did deep work. Extra sleep = better results.
- Avoid alcohol + caffeine*: Both dehydrate you when you need fluid most.
- Light stretch only*: Gentle movement yes, deep tissue no.

You just lifted stagnation. Now hydrate, stay warm, and let your body do the rest. by @cupping_by_rose

Dry Cupping Color Guide

- *Light pink*: Healthy circulation. Little stagnation, body’s doing great.
- *Red*: Fresh stagnation + mild inflammation. Your body is actively healing.
- *Dark red / purple*: Deeper stagnation + old tension. Tissue has been tight for a while.
- *Bluish purple*: Cold or chronic stagnation. Blood + energy have been stuck longest.
- *Yellowish*: Dampness or toxin release. Body is flushing stuff out.
- *No mark at all*: Great flow! No stagnation found in that area.

Marks usually fade in 3-7 days. Darker = takes longer, but that’s normal. by @cupping_by_rose
