☕️ Brightside Blend Coffee:
Arlington,VA (post locations on site)

What I got: Cold brew and Pumpkin Pie Latte
Beans: Brazilian

Although I have some fan favorites that I go to when I’m back home, exploring a new shop is always a goal whenever I visit. Last week I had this coffee shop saved on my instagram list for a while and decided it was the perfect time to check it out!!

Similar to another one of my favorite coffee trucks, they post locations on their site so you can see where they are at that week! Luckily being in VA meant I had a car to drive and could really go anywhere to get coffee 🙂‍↕️
I love a seasonal drink so was excited to see that they had some good ones on the menu!! The latte wasn’t too sweet and I was a fan of the cold brew!! 10/10 would be looking for them again!!

☕️ Spiller Park Coffee,
Atlanta,GA (Midtown)

Whenever I travel to a new city, you better believe I will be trying a couple new coffee shops!! This time I was in Atlanta to celebrate one of my beautiful friends wedding and had some time to explore!! I stumbled across Spiller Park coffee and it was probably the best coffee I had while I was visiting and definitely one I’d recommend people to check out. They carry intelligentsia beans so I knew it would good but the Ethiopian beans they used for their iced coffee was fantastic!!

They had two different flash chilled versions, the constant Ethiopian blend and then a rotating blend. Another thing I loved was the seating options, food options and just vibes inside!! Great place for a little coffee chat or getting some work done!! I know they have at least 2 other locations around the city but this one was in midtown and was very spacious inside!! If you’re ever in Atlanta and want a solid cup, highly recommend this place!!

☕️ Birch Coffee,
New York, NY (All Over Manhattan)

Now this place has been my go to for many years!! I still remember the first time I tried it and absolutely loved it that I had to bring a bag of beans home with me 🫶🏽 it hold a very social place in my heart and wallet (the only punch card I actively carry around b/c you never know) while I haven’t visit all the Birch locations (but definitely will at some point) I do go to the West Village location very often and love doing a little bit of work or people watching!!

Most of the other locations I’ve noticed are a grab and go type of feel which honestly is perfect when you want a cup to go explore nyc!! When I first moved to the city I was fortunate enough to have one walking distance and I don’t think I’ve ever gone through so many punch cards before in my life but honestly it’s one of the places that you can always rely on having a good cup!! Although I mainly just get cold brew, they have some fun flavors (blackberry being one of my favs) and make their own milk which I think just makes me want to get a latte there ever so often hahah if you haven’t had it before, I definitely recommend grabbing a cup to walk around the city!!

☕️ Blue Hound Blew Coffee,
Nashville, TN (Music Row)

A little throw back for this place because oh it’s def a place I’ll hit up every 👏🏽 time 👏🏽 I go to Nashville!! I was visiting my friend for 4th of July weekend and because of who I am, I had a list of places of coffee shops I wanted to check out and this was number 1

Funny enough, this wasn’t the first time I had them 👀 Back when I lived there, I had stumbled across a post about them serving at a local farmers market and of course I made all my friends come try a coffee flight with me and we all loved it!!

I’m someone who loves cold brew, so when I saw this place only has cold brew I was sold!! Not to mention all the fun creative drinks they have for you to pick just made my day!! My friend and I went like almost every day I was there 👌🏽and it never disappointed. If you’re ever in the area, go check them out because they have been working on this for some time now and glad to see they have a physical location now!!

☕️ Le Lotus Bleu cafe,
New York, NY (Lower East Side)

I had this one on my list for a while and finally got to check it out!! First off, the selection of fun lattes is worth noting, if that’s your vibe then you’ll have a fun time here. I normally get a cold brew but there was this drink the “tropical brew” that caught my eye. So of course I got it!! Soooo good!! Super refreshing and not too sweet

Aside from the fun coffees you can get, there was this cute little Photo Booth type camera that would print out your photo and let you save a digital version! It was just sitting there waiting for you to snap a pic 📸 it’s a cute spot to come catch up with friends and grab your little cup to walk around all the stores LES or make your way to Chinatown!! I only share places I would go again and this is def a repeat place for me 🙂‍↕️

☕️ Afficionado Coffee Roasters,
New York, NY (Hells Kitchen)

If you were to ask me if I had a favorite in New York, I’d probably say that it too tough of a question but Afficionado is definitely top 3 🙂‍↕️ Every time I talk to someone about coffee shops in nyc, I always tell them to check this place out if they haven’t already.

The interior is cozy and there are loads of seating options, both inside and outside. It’s on 11th Ave, so a good distance from the chaos 8th and 7th can bring haha I have brought many friends to check this place out to either chat, work or just grab a cup to walk along the west side highway!!

This coffee shop holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the two that I would go to every few days when I first moved to nyc. It was a chance to get a morning walk and good cup of cold brew (w/ a bit of vanilla but honestly without anything is also soooo good!!)

100/10 must go!! (If you do, take me w/ you 🫵🏽)

☕️Nako, Brooklyn, NY (Brooklyn Heights)

There are so many places I’ve been to the past few years, some that I keep on going back to (which I will post my favorite ones, this might actually make it onto it!)

I discovered a lot since I’ve moved around a bit the last two years. I generally use a coffee shop to help me explore a new neighborhood and living in New York, there is no shortage of coffee shops or neighborhoods to explore!!

Last week I went to a new neighborhood and coffee shop to do some work and I LOVED IT!! The vibes, the drinks and the area 🙂‍↕️Nako has created such a cool and peaceful environment for people to not only meet up with each other but also work!! I had my regular cold brew and an iced Nako matcha latte which I HIGHLY recommend!! They make some fun syrups and even have a special drink only served on the weekends (will be heading back to try it of course!!)

10/10 will be going again!!

☕️ La Papa, Madrid

Another spot I kept coming back to because the cold brew had me hooked!! no notes, no regrets 🙂‍↔️ Tried the classic plain and seasonal mango cold brew.

Breakfast menu was top tier. There’s a bit of a wait but it’s the “I will stand here” kind of wait, not the “let’s just leave” kind.

They roast their own beans, have a whole lineup of fun drinks, and the space itself feels less “coffee shop” and more “modern design gallery” 10/10 for aesthetic, 10/10 for caffeine.

Highly recommend pulling up with a group and making it your whole morning before heading out for the day.

☕️ Hola Coffee, Madrid

I went to Spain this past June and I will say the specialty coffee drink game was on another level this time around!!
I basically became a regular at this spot and showed up every other day.

Their grapefruit cold brew is the drink that kept me coming back. Tucked into a side street not far from a main station, surrounded by the kind of shops and restaurants that make you “just walk a little further” your way into an entire afternoon gone.

Cozy little interior, solid breakfast menu, multiple locations around Madrid!! Get this, they also roast their own beans so naturally I had to bring some home. If you’re ever in Madrid, highly recommend!!

Alright alright, I have so many songs and places I’ve visited so I’m slowly gonna post one a day 🤪 This place recently opened up in Arlington,VA and the roaster they use is one of my fav local beans (small planes + lost sock) Some fun specialty drinks like an Valencia orange cold brew that was surprisingly good!! Lots of tables and a food menu so a solid WFH space. Would go again especially to check out the fun season drinks they have, also solid place to grab a coffee then go on a walk since there is a walking trail not too far away!! #arlingtoncoffee #dmvcoffee by @cupzofcoffee_

Back at it again!! But with a twist, combining both the places I visit with songs that are stuck in my head and I think fit the vibe.

After a crazy intentional trip, made a side quest to Charleston,SC and went to this pretty awesome coffee shop where I tried my first Aerocano, 10/10 would get again. Basically shots of espresso, water and ice foamed together to give it a creamy texture. Very similar to a nitro cold brew which I love 🙂‍↕️ by @cupzofcoffee_

Inside THE SQUARE right off the Farragut West metro stop, there is this coffee shop that fuses Jamaican & Venezuelan flavors and has some great cold brew and bits to eat. The space they are located in has a bunch of seating so makes it a great place to meet with a group or a couple of people to find some space to sit.
