Yesterday stated with @iamkatweaver learning about grants and pitching—turns out money exists just to help your business WHEN it aligns with the right mission.

Then I went to a community event hosted by @chrystalcaden, a wonderful community leader & founder of TechWalks here in Chicago, @gwenwiscount, founder of Fabrik, and @donkhaitan, OG founder of Milan Meetups and launching a new app @meetmilna, where we tackled issues about connection we face today. How do we fix modern loneliness? Through community, through apps, through showing up.

Ended deep in the AI rabbit hole learning about spec kits on GitHub and recognizing AI slop when I see it.

The theme? You grow when you’re in rooms with people smarter than you. I loved my team, I loved everyone I met there, and I’m grateful for every conversation this week 🌀✨

🔹 @landon20s has published a newsletter about chicago’s tech week and it’s worth reading as you plan out your week

🔹 additional events i find will be posted on my stories, but i will be prioritizing those communicated to be directly

as for my schedule, my week starts light and then picks up!

🌀 today i will be going to an event with @jujualmagul for community builders within the ecosystem as we are both building out communities. before the event, i am prioritizing seeing friends.

staying authentic and connected to my community maintains my energy for larger networking events (all platforms searched and creators mentioned are tagged)
