Our friend Steve was a veteran. He served in Desert Storm and said he witnessed some pretty crazy things. Here is part of a letter he wrote me when he was stationed in Dharan. He was the best. Sidenote, he may or may not have forged paperwork that gave him parental consent to join the armed service at age 17, not 18. What a Rocker. Just over a week until the @rockermemorialskatepark golf tournament October 8th. Enjoy some newly discovered video of Rock ‘n’ Roll Steve slashing and bashing thru the coping at Troy’s ramp 1991. Little known fact: this band Hawkwind is what Steve was rocking out too when some friends saw him and said “Look at Steve rockin’ ! He’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Steve !” Which eventually was tightened up to just Rocker, and the rest is his-story by @curbslap
