I recently came across this phrase that resonated deeply with me. It’s been exactly 13 years since I moved to the US, and I can’t help but struggle with that “immigrant paradox”.
I recall that after a 10-hour flight, our first meal in the United States was at Taco Bell. The food was new and weird. Ironically, I found myself at today’s dinner eating homemade tacos 🌮 and they were incredibly delicious. They have become a favourite at our dining table. Slowly but I am changing… #curiousinusa #newyork #manhattan #littleisland taken in Manhattan, New York by @curious1985

Aside from finally meeting the family after years of separation, another incredible event happened! I witnessed jacaranda trees in full bloom! These trees have long been on my mind and I had always planned to see them in South America or Australia. Surprisingly, they also grow in Turkey.
The Blue Jacaranda is a tropical tree known for its stunning, trumpet-shaped, blue-purple flowers that bloom in spring and fall. I got lucky to be in Turkey in spring 😋

The first two pictures: vibrant Turkish pink paper flowers and blue jacaranda, creating a striking contrast of colors. #turkey #antalya #side #antiquecity #jacaranda taken in Side, Turkey by @curious1985
