Little bit of an introduction post for any new people here :)
I’m Elisabeth and I’m an 18 year old oddity/bone/taxidermy collector from the Netherlands. I’ve been collecting things related to nature for all of my life. This started out as taking dried flowers, pretty rocks and acorns from my walks, but has grown out into a varied collection with all sorts of animals, crystals, shells etc. Other than taxidermy and other things related to nature I also bring home the occasional vintage or antique piece. This might seem unrelated but taxidermy and antiques have something that’s really important to me in common: the preservation of the past. I think it’s beautiful to give both animals as well as items a second life and to continue to appreciate them. I hope to share some of that admiration on my IG and TikTok page and would be very happy to have you here on this journey as well :) #taxidermy #wetspecimens #wetspecimen #bones #bone #bonecollector #bonecollection #bonecollecting #vultureculture #antique #vintage #oddities #odditiesandcuriosities #oddity by @curiouscollecting

Can’t wait to work on this baby but I still need some materials to come in before that’s possible 🫶🏻 #sugargliders #sugarglider #vultureculture #taxidermy #odditiesandcuriosities by @curiouscollecting

Other than my dead stuff, I have a couple living critters too! This is my most recent addition to the family :) Name suggestions are welcome! #reptiles #reptile #gecko #geckos #exoticpets by @curiouscollecting

In January I preserved this baby mouse and it quickly became one of my favourite (and most popular!) wet specimens. It’s so sad that it never got a chance to live, but at least it will forever be appreciated 🫶🏻 #wetspecimen #mouse #taxidermy #odditiesandcuriosities #vultureculture by @curiouscollecting

Hi! I love making content but don’t want to bore you guys with the same stuff over and over again :) Is there anything you’d love to see? A preservation method you want to see more of, a type of animal you’d like for me to work with, a subject you need me to talk about? Please let me know! by @curiouscollecting
