Iā€™ve been a fan of @animatedfighter and his work for several years now. Heā€™s a really great guy and weā€™ve tossed ideas back and forth over the years but we havenā€™t done a collab yet...until now.ā£ ā£ James had this great idea to take people who werenā€™t around in the 80s and said ā€œwhat could their album art have looked like had they released it back then?ā€ā£ ā£ He passed me his radical @eminem illustration and I built the background and text elements. As a child of the 80s myself, I had a lot of fun working on this and working with him. ā£ ā£ Be sure to follow @animatedfighter to check out all his amazing stuff. New project in the works.ā£ ā£ A local Long Island company desperately needed a refresh. Finer Fire Restoration has been servicing the Long Island, 5 Boroughs and Westchester area for over 30 years and their branding was almost as old. ā£ ā£ Slide 1 shows what their old logo looked like. They didnā€™t even have the logo file except for what was on their old site. ā£ ā£ Slide 2: I had presented them with 3 unique designs and this was what they decided on. Itā€™s very much rooted in the original design but modernized with an updated font and a more minimalistic fire and water icon. While they are a fire, water and mold remediation company, they wanted to focus more on the fire and water part with the mold remediation as a tertiary focus. ā£ ā£ Slide 3: For their new color palette, I wanted to show what Finer Fire Restoration does by bringing in the colors of the 3 main areas of restoration they focus on; fire, mold and water damage. ā£ ā£ Slide 4 shows what their old site looked like. There was a lot of copy that repeated throughout the site as well as many design and layout elements that needed to be fixed. ā£ ā£ Slide 5 shows what the redesigned site looks like. This incorporates their new color palette as well as an updated font combo.ā£ ā£ Slide 6 shows their logo on a work van.ā£ ā£ Slide 7 is a Finer crew member working on a roof. ā£ ā£ Iā€™d love to hear what you guys think. Tell me in the comments below what makes you different enough that people should choose you over your closest competitor. You canā€™t say anything about your ā€œqualityā€ or tell me how great you are or that your company is the best. Those answers are expected.
