I know I’m more active on my Tik Tok but I wanted to take a minute to say that a year ago today God chased after me when I tried running away from him. I felt on my heart all last year and the year before to get rebaptized. To get baptized with the Holy Spirit. I denied it for a year and a half no matter how heavy it was on my heart. I felt like I was way too deep in sin to do it though. (Suicidal, depressed, obsessed with drinking, lustful, etc…)

On this day last year, I went to church. My Pastor asked the congregation to fill out a card that said if you wanted baptism, rebaptism, prayer, or Bible study. I checked rebaptism and scratched it and circled Bible studies out of fear and disobedience. My brother came to me saying “OMG SHI! You getting rebaptized?” And I denied it so bad that I felt like when Peter denied Jesus for the first time. Shortly after there was a man asking me if I was getting rebaptized and I denied it. What’s weird was idk how he knew that it would be a rebaptism because when I got baptized for the first time, he wasn’t attending the church. I walked out to my car and a car pulled up next to me saying “0BEYH1M.” I then opened IG and the first thing I saw was a story about gettin baptized.

I just broke down. I knew I couldn’t run away from Jesus. It was just shocking that Jesus was running after my heart even when I did him so wrong. The lady called for my Bible studies and it was on her heart to ask me if I was getting baptized next week and she didn’t even know. I said yes because God said yes to me first.

Ya’ll. Jesus wants your heart. He’s not just this fake figure you hear about in church. This is a man that opened his arms and bled for you. In the same way, he is opening his arms to you. Go in your closet and talk to him. Tell him you want to hear him. Ask him to reveal what doesn’t please him and turn away from it. The kingdom of heaven is at hand ya’ll. Don’t try and be perfect and then come to God. He will perfect you. <3 I am living proof of a living God. by @curryseekslight

🪷קְהִלָּה. K’hillah is the Hebrew word for community. Meaning group or congregation that share the same interests. I’m just so honored to have friends that delight in the same God. All of the leaders and everyone who helped put this event together I know will be blessed. The Holy Spirit flowed through the entire room and through the days after. It was all intentional. The warfare after and all. Destruction always follows good intention. But Jesus. Jesus died so that we can be able to have community like TCG. You all are living proof that we have a loving God. Thank you God. Thank you Josh. Thank you TCG for all you do.
