MAREIDA × CURSE invite VICTORIA RUIZ

Art, music and food come together for the first edition of Onda Mareida, curated by Curse Studio in collaboration with Mareida.

Venezuelan artist Victoria Ruiz takes over the restaurant with an exhibition and live performance, alongside a colour-led set menu inspired by her work and created especially for the evening by Mareida’s chef Nico. Stay after dinner for cocktails and DJ sets.

Our design for @_lightroomldn ‘s new show, Matisse: Joy.

We started by creating a new typeface inspired by the shapes and forms of Matisse’s cut-outs, then worked with imagery from Lightroom’s projections to bring the two together.

The result is a poster that feels bright, colourful and joyful, capturing the spirit of both Matisse’s work and the show itself.

Matisse: Joy also contains new artwork by @yinka_ilori and it opens in January 2027. by @curse__studio

For the 34th Raindance Film Festival poster, the designers at @Curse__Studio started with a feeling that kept coming back during the process: a filmmaker carrying a story that the world really needs.

“That sense of urgency runs through the blurry figures as they move within the colours that live in negative space, still finding their exposure. This felt like the most honest way to capture this year’s theme ‘Some Films Can’t Wait’.”
