Last, first and sometime in the middle pictures of Penelope.
I vividly remember picking her up July 7, 23. My other poor girl Henrietta was so depressed being alone after the death of Rosie. She just sat at our feet not talking, playing or anything. On the ride to pick up a new friend she just sat in her crate, silent.
Then came Penelope. She looked a lot worse for wear but had such a wonderful personality. God, she got in the truck and Henny just wouldn't shut up all the way home. One of many wonderful memories.
Yesterday Penelope got sick and passed away hrs later Aug 7th 2026.
So ends the adventures of the hens.of.hockley but not the memories. Every time I look out in my back yard and see their little coop out there I pause to reminisce about my time with them. by @curtis_1967
